What is it, that makes me keep playing DAYZ?

Space Quest, released in 1986, was the first franchise PC game that I really got serious about, It was a pirated version on my older brothers 286 Turbo machine, and from there I was hooked on gaming.

Roll on 3 decades and countless other games later; I subscribed to a little known early access game called Dayz. Stumbled upon it by chance, and it was virtually free at the asking price, so I got it. Fumbled around for a few weeks, trying to figure it out, and put in a few hundred hours. You feel hungry, you feel cold, those days.

One day my char was caught by a group of players, stripped, bound, beaten and generally abused for a while, then force fed alcohol tincture or something, released and left to die. Crawled up into a bell tower and sat there, watching my char slowly expire. You are dead.

Decided then that the game was not for me, and uninstalled.

Got sucked into Evony Online big time, and played A LOT, and spent a silly amount of cash on micro transactions, until the use of bots got so bad, and my wife threatened divorce, that I had enough of that. Re-installed DZ on a whim, and played on and off for a while. Then came Jaco, a friend I met in Qatar while working there, and we seriously got stuck into DZ.

Made a lot of online friends all over the world, rented our own Vanilla server, and had a lifetime of fun.

Got distracted by GTAV Online, so DZ was un-installed again. Then came the Modders, ruining what is to me, one of the finest games I ever played, second only to the evergreen cult classic, Half Life.

Around 2018, Dayz was re-installed, and here I am in 2022, around 8K hours over two accounts, still finding myself on the beach with an apple and a flare.

In summary then, is it good? You bet it is, for me at least, I've put more hours into DZ than any other game I can remember. The learning curve is steep, new players will die a lot and get highly frustrated in the first few hundred hours, but once it's latched on to you, you are doomed.

So, what is it about this damn game?

Many things, too many to list here, but I hate to love it so, bugs, quirks, glitches and all.

the only thing that has been organized is CASH GRAB. developers are preying on the popularity of the mod for arm 2. who is 100 times better. from this new game. it's time to settle the developers with their promises and lies. and it hurts me the most that developers are trying to close the mouth to people who criticize this game constructively. I do not mean ordinary trolls and haters. but I'm not surprised either. I also exhausted my patience. this game is full of errors. for me it is unplayable. why there are so few vehicles. because they can do Backflip on a straight road. and the moderators again had to remove a million negative comments

I argued from both points of view, but I guess it got lost in translation for you piotr, which is understandable. The lies I'm not so sure about, maybe you can point them out to me? Question remains in my mind though; I do not see why the game is pulling so much hate; it's almost as if their is an organized campaighn of hate in progress.

You asked yourself. and you answered it yourself. you have still lied a little and a positive review is ready
