Awesome game.
The game is a FPS RPG style game; You start with a single char and beginner weapons, both your char and weapons can be upgraded based on how much you use them. Later chars and weapons are crafted ingame (but can be bought with real money). The missions are very modular with about 15~20 missions per planet unlocked.
The game is still a bit buggy, but very playable for a beta
