Despite initial doubts, fueled by incorrect leaked trailers and gameplay footage that didn’t initially inspire confidence, Bloober Team has managed to deliver a remake worthy of the original, surprisingly enhancing the game’s overall enjoyment.

Silent Hill 2 is a cornerstone of video game horror, and this remake faithfully respects and honors Konami's 2001 classic. It offers functional gameplay, albeit with some rough and cumbersome animations, and a cold, unsettling narrative that perfectly captures the essence of Silent Hill.

However, the game’s optimization leaves something to be desired, particularly in the early days following its release. Bugs that occasionally hindered progress further marred the experience.

One standout feature is the reimagined soundtrack, masterfully rearranged by Akira Yamaoka himself—a true musical virtuoso—who once again succeeds in embodying the atmosphere and tensions of James Sunderland’s haunting journey.

The character redesigns, especially James, are excellent, bolstered by well-executed and convincing voice acting.

Silent Hill 2 REMAKE is not only a love letter to one of the greatest horror videogame sagas ever created but also a deeply psychological adventure for newcomers. It has the power to captivate even the most impressionable players, keeping them glued to the screen.

With a light, fast and simple gameplay Spec Ops The Line places all its power in a psychological narrative, showing us the dark side of war and the brainwashing that soldiers are subjected to.
A simple but effective narrative, which mixes dramatic moments with psychological ones, thus placing hope on the gamer, who will have to grasp the complex but effective meaning of this title.
At the time of writing this mini review, unfortunately the title is not available in the Steam store, but I invite players who have never tried the title to purchase it once it is available.

"You're just a soldier, not a hero."

With a renewed formula and a weak narrative but at the same time with potential, Silent Hill: Homecoming fails to be a memorable title, thus marking the tragic decline that Shattered Memories will not be able to repair, despite the latter remaining a masterpiece for PSP.

However, Homecoming manages to excel in a well-crafted atmosphere and excellent level design, accompanied by an inspired aesthetic sector that manages to disturb the player, with Akira Yamaoka always in form.
The plot, however simple, manages to give you one twist after another, giving us quotes and references to other chapters of the series.

Not the best Silent Hill out but still worth keeping an eye on.

Mirror's Edge ™ Catalyst offers us a rather interesting, but poorly exploited storyline, with a weak narrative and stereotyped flat characters. However, his great graphics sector, with its fluid gameplay, with fun secondary delivery missions and the possibility of creating your own run to be able to show off your Free Runner skills at best, will be able to entertain gamers who are not interested in the plot. then a lot, and those who care a lot. A game rather quietly passed but which is nevertheless regaining a certain notoriety today, with many people who have also re-evaluated the title as a great video game. Which means it's great for Mirror's Edge ™ Catalyst.

Although I often play this game, especially in company, this review I feel like making it negative. A game that has even gotten worse after the release of cross-play. Between cheaters, people having a horrible connection, and frame drops it's becoming more unplayable than before. Award only the fantastic idea behind it, but developed sufficiently.

I admit that I have not finished the game, and for lack of time I have not played it very much, but it is truly an exceptional work, both for fans of the old-fashioned RPG and for those who love a deep story with various branches of the plot , where you can choose the relationships between the characters, you can decide how to act in a mission, a world made well and very exploratory.

The gameplay may be old, but of course it is made specifically that way, even if today's player might bother certain gameplay choices, but otherwise I think it's done really well and it's a lot of fun. Too bad for the voices of the actors, not quite up to the assigned role, sometimes it seems like a dub dub fan that can be found on YouTube.

Graphically well rendered, not too exciting, but not ugly either, it is a graphic that looks good on the game that has been created, the stories of the characters are very beautiful, in-depth, with many secondary missions, slightly dispersive, but once used to the type of game , you will go on without too many problems.

GreedFall is a great game, it could have given more, surely, but I think it's the best Spider work, as far as depth, narrative and gameplay are concerned.

If as a child you have always wanted to be a pirate, find treasures with friends, do naval battles, navigate and explore the ocean, well this is the game for you, incredibly underrated, but it offers a fantastic adventure.

If fate frowns, we all perish.

Penumbra Overture, and its sequel, Black Plague are two horror adventures videogames developed by Frictional Games,
taken from the story of the same name by Lovecraft, in these two chapters we will play the role of Philip Buchanon, who after the death of his mother will receive a mysterious letter from his father who believed he was dead even before he was born, then he will undertake this journey where the freezing cold Greenland will force him to go into a mine, where the adventure of our protagonist will begin.

The two videogames have a lot in common with Lovecraft's tales, such as looking at an enemy for too long and losing reason, panicking, or the underground alien creatures long forgotten somewhere in the Arctic, the Tuurngait.

Penumbra Overture unlike Black Plague gives us the opportunity to defend ourselves with the pickaxe, even killing enemies, the most common are infected dogs, while in its second chapter we should keep a low profile and avoid any contact with these creatures.

These two Penumbra also have some rather trivial puzzle moments and it won't be long before we reach the final solution to the riddle, however the game focuses heavily on the psychological horror factor. The complex story behind Penumbra will also be re-proposed in SOMA, a videogame always developed by Frictional Games. Despite the poor duration of the video games, both played in a row and calculating both the duration is a little more than 7 hours, both video games have truly memorable and rather frightening moments, especially Black Plague, where you can walk through the claustrophobic corridors infested by Tuurngait that patrol with the torches will turn out to be really scary and we should sneak around. I would have nothing more to say about Penumbra, if not that they should be tried, above all because they don't cost much now.

My first and only Monster Hunter was Freedom Unite on PSP, so my review will not be compared to old videogames, nor do I consider myself an expert in this franchise. Monster Hunter World has disappointed me, honestly. Both in terms of gameplay, and on PC and new generation consoles it can be quite old, given that it needs a lot of grinding, although I know that the Monster Hunter saga is characterized primarily by the mechanical one, but I just don't like it , I can't do anything about it, on a portable console, during my frequent weddings on the train and in the car it wasn't a problem, they blocked the travel holes, but on PC I can't accept it, but it also disappointed me in the setting, these "small" hunting areas in which it is divided have not satisfied me at all, on the contrary ... I think it was my Achilles' heel, which led me to abandon it for many months. But why do I recommend it? Why am I going back to playing it now and is "enjoying" it? because playing in company entertains me ... and not only that, monsters are cool, they are well made, perhaps made with too much care, I really like weapons, armor, they are really aesthetically beautiful, I really like the soundtrack, despite a rather sparse narrative, the story manages to catch you and although it is very far from a crystalline narrative, however you manage to enter into sympathy with certain characters and with whom less, I like to see that during a hunt some monsters collide with each other, changing and making the fight dynamic. I understand very much why Monster Hunter World has conquered many people ... and not only, I understand why many people defend it against negative criticisms, in fact my criticisms are extremely subjective, but I really believe that Monster Hunter World will become a classic going forward with the time. Graphically nothing to say, I love the yield of forests, deserts and more, I also love the character design, very "rough" that manages to highlight the robustness of these monster hunters, intelligently giving up the classic character design that makes the characters come out of Victoria's Secret, which I think has always been out of tune, if you want to make a video game of this genre, the appearance of the characters must be hard, rough, you have to make it clear that they are dangerous. So yes ... I highly recommend Monster Hunter World, albeit with its flaws, which however will not spoil the game experience.

I couldn't finish it, sorry. I bought this game on day one and it worked very well, despite some frame drops the game was smooth, but unfortunately the lack of a partner did not give me the incentive to finish it, since its peculiarity is to be an entirely coop game. I reinstalled it after so many months since I had finally found a partner but unfortunately, in addition to horrible servers, with Steam I can't even connect, even the videogame has deteriorated in performance, I don't understand how it is possible but now the videogame lags a lot in the fps and it is unplayable, thus ruining a videogame with a very nice idea, as well as followed in all respects of the two previous Wolfestein. I hope these problems will be fixed soon, but until then this review will remain negative. Really a shame, Bethesda wake up.
