Wow ... this is, ... different. The economy is very small and funds are tight at the beginning. Capturing cities does not automatically give a large income boost. Armies are very expensive. Still, over time, cities grow and income with it.

The game uses "reforms" instead of technology but it works the same. Kingdoms get a new reform every 12 months or 5 turns.

The emphasis is on the characters more than the units. I was surprised to see very few character skills that are for the economy and not the military. Things are slow here as well in the beginning; if you get too many characters they will become bored and leave your kingdom unless they have a job. Thing is, it takes many reforms to open more jobs, and character upkeep is very expensive.

Play style is slow with few battles early on and a lot of strategic planning and economy building.

Battles play out just as well as most Total War games. You have your basic infantry, cavalry and ranged, which can include siege weaponry.

The overall feel and graphics for this game is unique for Total War games. I plan on playing more but for now this is a good game.

Edit: Later in the game it is getting really hard. Total Victory requires almost the entire map under control. However, all the units have many variances and that is really cool.

This is a fun little game. It is not large for disk space because it has simpler graphics than most game. The AI is quite decent. It is fun to build some of the world wonders. Some games have war while others do not.

The game plays really well. There is even overseas colonization which is pretty cool.

Once a player figures out the routine to win it can become a little redundant to play. However, some games turn out different from time to time.

Through the Ages is a nice little game to play now and then.

I like this game. It has really good graphics and decent sound. As an RTS, it is both simple yet challenging. I usually do not zoom all of the way in, so I look at the unit icons more than the up close visuals; however, those up close graphics are pretty darn nice! I do wish there were more single player maps instead of just 6 for each 1v1, 2v2 and 3v3. I really enjoy playing this pretty cool game from time to time.

This was a fun little set of missions. While there was nothing new for these missions, it was just cool to be able to clear out enemies to get access to the Vault. The missions were optional they say, but I found them neat. I like Purge missions.

I picked this up for about $1 during a sale. I still have another mini-DLC set of missions to do, am saving them for later.

Now I have access to a Relic store. It costs credits and fate to buy a relic. My Inquisitor is level 61, and the relics were about 15-18 k credits and 5 fate each. Although I did not find anything I need, the store resets every day, so I plan on checking from time to time.

This Relic store is pretty cool though.

This is decent. I was waiting for a sale but did not see one. This gives a Tarot card which increases mission Glory. It is a Minor Arcana card so can be used easily. I went on four missions and they were fun.

This is a fun game. I find it relaxing. I was level 55 before I saw most of the tile sets so I do not know what others are complaining about. There are also quite a few different enemies now.

Character development was really good for me. It slowed down after level 50 but there are still things for me to train. The quests/mission types are varied, with both planet based and star base missions. There are several different ways to go on missions and they are all neat as this adds breadth to the game.

Characters have several neat pieces of equipment to equip. I play a Crusader and use both a greatsword and a heavy bolter. This gives me flexibility.

The game plays Diablo-like. Although I dont care for that game I do like this one.

Edit:

Favorite Enemies:
Drukhari, of course
Tyranids, love fighting the dinos
Nurgle Daemons! Nice and gooey, tho I pronounce them "daymons"
All the Rest

Favorite Mission Type:
Purge

Good. I did not think this pack would add much, like new monsters or dungeons. It has some armor and new buildings for trees and taverns. The emotes are kinda meh for me since I do not MP but some players might care for those as they are extra and minor. I would have liked to seen some new original music added but the AoC stuff is still great.

I decided to buy one of these DLC to see how they work. Anyway, this DLC is 3 missions, or 20-30 minutes. Finishing it gives a Tarot card. Wait for a sale.
