Overall GUARDS! is a game with A LOT of back and forth and linear progression. At times combat can feel great and at times you are getting your head caved in by a war hammer or getting obliterated by a necromancer's staff that doesn't stop shooting. I give this game a positive review because it is one of the few in which the devs are constantly communicating and addressing the problems the community has with the game with the aim to fix upon those issues. At the current state I would still recommend GUARDS! as a fun, laid back game you can throw on when you are just trying to have some casual fun. Progression is very quick and you will typically have full gear in ~3 hours which will carry you through all stages of the game

After playing through Dying Light 2 for 10 hours. I would strongly recommend this game. It seems a lot of people are stopping and refunding before even getting through a large part of the introduction. I wanna take some time to put out some pros, cons, and notes to all players in this game.

Notes:
- There is a sprint feature, it is unlocked later in the game as a parkour trait. (I just got it after 10 hours)
- Techland said multiple times that guns will be scarce if any at all. We're 15 years later into the apocalypse, there isn't gonna be many guns or ammunition left around the world for people to use.
- Although many are reporting bugs, I have yet to experience a single bug in my entire play
- Fast travel also gets unlocked later in the game
- People are complaining about having to always be on the road but there are many parkour spots to stay on the roofs at all times. Just because they weren't shown in the tutorial doesn't mean they aren't there.

Pros:
- Offers a huge dynamic world that is amazing to explore
- Offers multiple ending for replayability
- Has interesting side characters in the story like Hakon, Aider, Sophie, and Barney
- Huge improvement to Player Vs Human combat
- Option to play as an RPG or Immersive experience with health bars that would aid the players
- Amazing flow of parkour between each building

Cons:
- Night is A LOT less scary than in the first game. It doesn't seem like there are many Volatile's running around at the moment and doesn't feel as dark as the original
- Player Vs Zombie combat feels worse than in the first game and when shoving/kicking a zombie off a building, it doesn't ragdoll but has a midair standstill before realising it needs to fall to the ground
- Choices in the game aren't as drastic as the game trailers made them out to be. They alter the story a little in regards to who gives you what quests but doesn't alter the entire world. (I can kill multiple PK members or Survivors without any consequence from the remainder of the factions)

Overall the game is in a great state that I imagine will only get fixed and updated with the future DLCs and updates. Players just need to give it a chance and get past the tutorial stages to realise how great it is. I wish everyone a great experience playing this game.
