Casual Gamer. Feel free to add me. I'm pretty easy going and don't mind teaming/grouping up with others to play something.

While i grew up experiencing the consoles i have moved onto PC gaming as my primary source. Sega Genesis, Nintendo classic and super, PS1/2 etc were when I started getting into gaming. Late 90's i was playing Quake, Doom, Duke Nukem 3D on pc and got into pc gaming. Early 2000's I discovered Unreal Tournament and played that relatively hardcore, mostly online and competitively. Those in my opinion were the glory days of FPS especially online. Around the same time I developed a taste for RTS, all the original Command and Conquer series and Total Annihilation. I later discovered games like Runescape, World Of Warcraft and got into the MMO style.

These days I enjoy a nice mixture of games. Really come to enjoy and appreciate the open world, survival and crafting games (hence 800+ hours 7 days to die). What is lacking are people to share/experience games with together. So if you see any games we both have and would like to play, shoot me a message and we'll set something up. Just wanted to put a brief history of my gaming over the years :)

I normally would go by Oriknight game tag in Runescape/WoW etc. However "ImperatorElite" has stuck with me and I enjoy that.

I pronounce it like im-peh-rah-tor

In short. The game is expansive with so many things to see, do, explore, craft, build and so on. In my opinion its one of the better games in the market with a lot of replay value. Perfect for solo or multi-play. There can be bugs, i recommend always backing up your save if possible. Its not Elite Dangerous or Star Citizen, its not a space sim, its not going to have planets covered in cities with huge economies. For me personally the game is incredibly relaxing and a de-stresser. Endless exploration. Own freighters, various ships, frigates, build bases across the universe. Deform and add terrain. The limits are based on your creativity and imagination. I spent $150 on the collectors edition pre-order from iam8bit and have zero regrets on that. The game goes on sale at times, personally, its worth it at $60. Mostly the game will come down to small details and features and visuals on whether you'll like it, or if it will rub you the wrong way.

The "Beyond" update is approaching not fast enough for VR support and other features. It's truly amazing how far this game has come from its release to where it is now. And ultimately its all for the best and no man's sky has turned into something even more beautiful that previously envisioned and created in my personal opinion.

Personally, I love almost everything about the game. It takes a lot for me not to like something in NMS. Normal mode is the easy mode. Starts out slow, picks up pace. Once you learn different things (like uploading discoveries for nanite clusters) you'll soon find yourself upgrading tech fast. Normal mode is the exploring/story mode so to speak. Online or offline, multiplayer or not. Up to you. But you are for the most part forced to do aspects of the story and opening "quests" so to speak in order to unlock technology you need, such as a hyperdrive.

Creative mode unlocks everything for you for the most part, allowing you to explore endlessly with no survival worries or grinding forever for elements, materials etc. You can build to your hearts content and try out unique base designs without the risk of doing it wrong in normal mode.

Singleplayer vs multiplayer. Both i find are fine. Its easy enough to kick out random people who join if you have it set like that. Fun and engaging enough for both SP and MP. Last time I played MP was just after NEXT update i believe when there were some bugs going on. Caused an issue with my progression of story and completely ruined my save file. So had to start over.

The game is not perfect. Small details could improve, or change. There are an extensive amount of mods for the game and you can use those to tweak it to your specific desires. Hundreds of hours in the game and i haven't seen or done it all yet. Visually and auditory, this game is amazing and it never gets old for me.

Videos added below of in-game play by me featuring sounds or visuals. Don't watch if you don't want to see potential spoilers on unique styles of planets or the experience of seeing and visiting them.

My first NMS video I did to feature various worlds.

Abandoned Spacestation, made this video to capture the creepy atmosphere that NMS can offer.

Another featuring music and showing the small things added to the game over time, such as Airglow atmosphere effects on planets.
