This game is a lot of fun to play, and exponentially more fun to play when you play it with friends. It's a ton of fun to explore new planets, find hostile ships and anomalies in space, and to complete the vast amounts of quests in the game.

However, I feel the game has several big flaws, one big one being the main quest. The main quest is repetitive and bland at best, spending half an hour to an hour scanning a bunch of items then 10 minutes fighting through a dungeon that ends with a boss fight that most of the time isn't even any sort of challenge, and it is just that same process a few times then boom you beat the game. And while I love exploring in this game, the exploration factor soon kinda dries up. There are different types of planets in the game (forest, jungle, alien, ice, etc.) but once you've seen one planet of that type, you've basically seen them all. Spend your time exploring one jungle planet and you can leave knowing that every other jungle planet you find will be nearly identical. I feel that because of the repetitive, bland quests in the game and the limited variety when it comes to exploration really hurts the replayability of this game.

Regardless, this game is still a lot of fun to play with friends, and for the price that it is at, it is definitely worth it!

When No Man's Sky came out about a year ago, it was pretty ♥♥♥♥. It was basically a $60 sight seeing game that was fun for about 2 hours before you finally got bored and uninstalled the game.

Well one year later, and that statement above couldn't be further from the truth. I strongly believe that No Man's Sky is now the game that we were promised it would be, and the devs show no sign of stopping there. The once boring and linear storyline that lasted 30 minutes is now a diverse storyline that branches off into different stories, that you can explore and follow however you want. 12 hours in and I'm still nowhere near done with the story. You now no longer have to just fly around aimlessly with your tiny ship, you can trade ships or find ships at crashsites and repair them, you can buy your own capital freightership, you can make your own base and recruit a crew, there are space battles, pirates, side missions, etc. What I'm trying to say here is that a LOT has changed, if you haven't tried NMS yet or bought it originally but just uninstalled it, give it a chance, you will be amazed how far it has come.
