The game devs arent sure who they want to appeal to and on the surface has a very strange community
very "wild west internet" culture so i'd recommend to be careful and NOT CHILD FRIENDLY PERIOD

that being said be as careful in this game as you would be going to a bar or other things because yes, being social with anyone and everyone who can and is hiding their face is like dating someone on twitter without ever sending a dm or seeing their face.

with all that being said what about the actual game
very robust customization API that is not that hard for normies to use. It was my first introduction to Unity and led me down the path to majoring in visual effects.
If i ever do get on this game its mostly to show off something i created/coded/etc and just be a turbo nerd.

Its much better in VR and dont be daunted by the FullBodyTracking people but go ahead and play desktop whenever you want and people wont judge you lesser for it

With my personal experience if you genuinely take interest in things like creation and are/get good at it you will naturally make friends by showing up somewhere. Remember, everyone in this game is a turbo nerd on some level, gamers meet gamers here and dont hold your craziness back.

I was surprised to discover that old games DO still hold up
I never played this game and got the entire bundle on sale and was blown away at how good it was.
We are truly in the dark ages of modern gaming if this is the comparison

this game is hard to review.
I really like it even though its content is small and 100%ing is kinda grindy.
the DLCs are really cool and seem really cool but also way too small for the price point and consist of too much filler "endless modes"
My personal note to the devs is I compare this game a lot to Ultrakill in terms of style, fun, and speed and I often play Ultrakill's levels more than the endless modes because the encounters are well crafted and fun for movement.
Try to hone in on that and put time into fun encounters that challenge how you take engagements and not how fast you can press buttons. I also recommend to make the set dressing of different rooms more differentiated.
I really liked the backrooms level and I want more of that even though it slowed down the game in some areas. Just chill out on the "you failed the stealth section so im going to jumpscare you and make you redo it" If you want more horror please please please check out games like voices of the void for reference

Its hard to review this game
its a complete roguelike though as in almost 0 progression is saved except for achievements and maybe some alternate endings?
but its hard, really hard, and really fun
if you like math making you overpowered, completely random BS, unhinged developers, unhinged mechanics with so much depth people are still trying to figure them out, and so many easter eggs that professional code crackers are having a tough time. play it, and have fun :)

i wish this was a tool and that I could use it
Very good if you dont have internet, youre on a trip, or you have adhd and are in a really boring lecture
They are always adding little things to the game here and there to keep you coming back to waste some time.
I wish i had a steam deck just for this game.

Very very fun game
theres several bugs at the time of writing none of them gamebreaking and the devs are extremely responsive in discussions

fun game for those going fast. not sure what this will go in the long term but great job for a solo dev

Its okay
F2 is a strange button and the free features are limited but okay
the bad part is you can get a better crosshair overlay on github called CrossOver which I would use 10x more than this. The CrosshairX version looks really smooth however, but is not free.
Worth of the pro version is dependant on how much you need a hyper-customizable crosshair

Toned down movement Arena shooter with destruction elements in a virtual reality environment

Surprisingly pulls of the "VR Tournament Esport" Lore quite well especially with the new Update and sponsor system that gives you FREE cosmetics related to the sponsor
the battle pass is reasonable 10$ with in game currency to give you more than what you put into it.
they now have the world tour mode that gives bi-weekly modifiers to the original gamemode as an almost "experimental" mode with rewards for winning
The devs seem extremely devoted to making this game as good as possible even though they sometimes go off radar to set up a very big update that will hopefully change the game for the better along with lots of statistics and remarkably good insight that i dont see in a lot of other games "coughcough-overwatch devs-coughcough"
Give this game a go casually or competitively and have a good time.

I love the ♥♥♥♥ out of this game its really good.
BUT-
out of mega spite that I have to finagle hyper threading to get consistent frames due to this old ass game engine, I will keep it to not recommended until they fix it as I think this issue should be one of the top priorities. I cant imagine someone with little knowledge on computers to play like this for even 3 hours.
