This game, to this day, still manages to be 1 of the most played and most competitive shooters out there...
The only problem with it being Valve not fixing the major problems that already should have been fixed and solved
(for example:every 3/4 matches has atleast 1 hacker, Prime Account Service needs to be finished, as it is right now it does basically nothing,and more).


Just know that if this game gets more support from the developers in the future it will continue the legacy of the franchise and will be one of the best shooters of the decade.


{UPDATE} The game is now free and available to everyone.. Players who bought this before it went free to play, now have prime account without needing to be level 21 and have a phone number registered. My experience so far with this update has been mostly positive as I've seen less hackers on a daily basis than before. Also Valve has been updating this game pretty frequently compared to before so I think this game is on the right track to become popular again!


{UPDATE} In my opinion, as someone who played this game religiously for 3 years now, it stands inferior to newer FPS games as the tickrate on offical servers is still 64 tick and the regional ping isn't that good either. Started playing Valorant 2 months ago and I gotta say that even though I was hesitant to make the switch at first, it was worth it.


{UPDATE} Started playing CS again, gotta say that it has gotten a lot better since the last time. The amount of cheaters that you encounter are minimal and the game is actually playable. Still waiting for 128 tick rate mm but the anti cheat finally working is a plus.

{UPDATE} It's getting there, hit registration is scuffed and running accuracy needs to change but outside of that there's definitely been some improvements since release. No need to mention the lack of anti-cheat, since at the end of the day it's Valve. Valve doesn't care. cyka
