It scratches the old Stalker itch and it runs flawlessly after disabling rtx and lumen through the engine.ini.
Most people whining about performance are to stupid to check the top rated guide for stability/optimization improvements..

Definitely needs some AI adjustments though.

I would've liked to recommend this but it's so fundamentaly broken. There isn't a single mechanic/feature working as intended, optimization is garbage and don't even get me started about the insanely broken AI.

Instead of fixing the fundamentals of the game the developers break it even more with every patch.

Give it another year or 2 before purchasing, not just because it is broken but also because they will add alot of overpriced DLC ( which is just cut content to sell as DLC ), better to just buy the full package at a discount in a few years.

I can deal with the jank, what i cant deal with is 0 explanation about any game mechanics. Not to mention the game seems to run at a much lower fps than my steam overlay says ( seems to be running at 60 fps while capped at 120 through control panel ). It's also really ugly to look at.

Drove for a while, saw nothing of interest, ran out of gas, tried to siphon gas from canister through a tube but god knows how and where. Controls are unintuitive and all over the place. Feels like a alpha project, not a game that has been in early access for 5 years.

Great game, feels like i haven't even scratched the surface

+I've been playing for 6 days and haven't had a single crash or fps drop below 65. Optimization is great
+Exploration is rewarded
+Quests have multiple outcomes and let you think outside the box
+Huge world which will entertain you for at least a 100hrs
+Character creator

-Pawn AI is dumb af, my pawns love to jump in the brine for no reason
-Traveling can get tedious until you find enough portcrystals
-Movement is a bit janky
-Not a fan of the savesystem

Even though the game itself is enjoyable, the optimization is not. In the first campaign map on year 3 i have 64 students and about 20 employees, the fps already dropped to 50's. Changing the settings from max to medium or low didn't do much fps wise. No 'fix' for this is to be found.

I took the chance to refund while i still can.

Nothing but aim assist, macro's and steam config players these days

It's like the colonial times but with pokemon.

Make the graphics slighty better, slap a 2.0 on it and call it a day. No new content has been added ( maps/weapons ). Valve is just lazy and is only in it for the skin sales.

If skate4 does not release this year, this wil be GOTY.

Amazing game, feels like a mixture of elden ring and bloodborne.
Runs buttery smooth on max settings @ 120fps cap
Multiplayer works flawlessly, have not seen any desync or disconnects

Definitely needs some QOL changes but it has been a great launch.
