Hell Divers 2 is a prime example of how a sequel can squander the promise of its predecessor. While the first game had its flaws, it managed to deliver an engaging co-op experience with a sense of camaraderie and excitement. Unfortunately, this follow-up seems to have forgotten what made the original enjoyable, opting instead for a bland, repetitive grind.

The graphics, which should be a highlight in any sequel, feel underwhelming and lack the polish that gamers expect in today’s market. Environments are generic and uninspired, making exploration feel like a chore rather than an adventure. The enemy designs are just as forgettable, lacking the creativity that could have turned battles into memorable encounters.

Gameplay mechanics, a crucial aspect of any co-op shooter, are frustratingly clunky. The controls feel unresponsive at times, and the AI can be painfully incompetent, leading to moments of irritation rather than the thrill of teamwork. The supposed variety in missions quickly becomes stale as you find yourself repeating the same objectives over and over, with little reward for the effort.

To make matters worse, the narrative is lackluster, failing to captivate or engage. The story feels tacked on and does little to enhance the game play experience. Players are left longing for the rich lore that could have added depth to the otherwise shallow experience.

Hell Divers 2 seems to have lost sight of what made the original a cult favourite. Instead of innovating and expanding on its concepts, it settles into a monotonous loop that is more punishing than fun. It’s disappointing to see a game with so much potential fall flat. Save your time and money; this is one dive you can skip.

Great game, Only crashed my PC 43 times an hour. The issue wasn't the game it was my power supply, I had to buy a new one. Then I found out that my PC was still crashing and It was just my power cable. Great game. Helped me fix my PC

This is a game.

The velocity of the F-15 is too high for an inexperienced pilot like myself, I would much rather an Aircraft which travels at a much slower pace.
