I have two philosophies. One: do what makes you happy as long as it doesn't hurt other people. And two: don't try to help everybody at once; try to help who you can and who’s within your reach. If you try to help carry their load and they try to help carry your load, you have more energy and you’re not weighed down. Then they can help others, and it's like a domino effect—it radiates outward. Instead of one person trying to carry the weight of the world, we are just helping our neighbors. We are helping our friends and our immediate circle, and if everyone does that, it radiates out, and suddenly you find it’s a network.
