Do not buy in 2024. Steam will just say "updating executable" as it says its "launching" the game and it will not launch. There is no existing fix for this issue. Frankly valve needs to remove the game from the store as their policy states now that games have to work to be on steam

audio DOES NOT WORK PAST OPENING CUTSCENE!!!

All audio has been softened in this game and to top it off none of the audio comes from where the sound is coming from in the game., The voice lines blend in with the background noise, the background noise has been made louder than the voice overs and the music is so loud it drowns ALL other sound out. And it seems the ai has been bugged out too on friendly security turrets and security drones. I payed money for this and somehow its inferior to the original game? What the absolute frell? Im going to try the community patch and see if that fixes it. If not then.... look, dont buy it. I'll update this review when im done testing that.

A game sold on false advertisement and the developer has repeatedly censored descent on their forums under the guise of "not having a topxic community" whilst similtaniously IGNOIRING the more toxic pro dev posts. This """"""""developer"""""""" deserves bankruptcy. Also the procedural level generation WILL eventually end some of your runs. Avoid like you avoid catching ebola or aids.

Also the fanboys are laughable. Theyll despise you just for not reccomending this game because "hurr muh rougelikes" DOOM wasnt a rougelike, classic shooters werent "rougelikes" This is by no means inspired by classic shooters given it breaks EVERY SWINGLE CONVENTION of classic shooters AND EVEN HAD THE ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ GALL TO LIMIT YOU TO ONE WEAPON PER PLAYTHROUGH! Old school shooters had a whole arsenal of weapons designed to fill a certain function while allowing you to carry all of them at once, and the ai werent nearly as braindead as the ai in "strafe" (funny name given the game doesnt give you enough room to strafe around enemies lol). The ai in this game often gets enemies stuck under stairwells and has the enemies LITERALLY coming at you in a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ congo line, along with spewing acid that doesnt wear off that can cover literally a whole toom to the point that you cant traverse it (wich you WILL need to do so to get through these procedurally generated levels. This again, is NOT something old school shooters had. ALL levels in old school shooters were HAND ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ CRAFTED!) ((back to the acid though)) After taking that damage youll find that there are deliberately few healthpacks that heal little more than a farts worth of health spread throughout each level, and when youre cramped in tight corridors or terrain that forces you to take hits those healthpacks dont do you ♥♥♥♥ all of any good. On top of that the game forces you to do multiple playthroughs to build these teleporters (which by the way, one of the teleporter part has a LOW DROP CHANCE of actually dropping AND EXPLODES AFTER A CERTAIN PERIOD OF TIME, THUS FORCING YOU TO FARM FOR IT ALL OVER AGAIN!) This game is more luch based than skill based. Old school shooters were purely skill based. This game however is not. If anything this is more akin to a VERY BAREBONES first person fps/rpg with lazy randomized levels. Its no damn wonder cabinets (or in my case literal server closets) spawn in front of facial scanners (among other things you need to interact with in order to proceed) thus preventing you from proceeding through the game given the fact they let an algorithm build levels for them the lazy bastards.

Dont buy this game. If you love old chool shooters, there are plenty opf old shooters RIGHT HERE ON STEAM that you can buy. Hell, there are even better new games that pay better homage to the shooters of old than this one does on steam but by god this isnt one of them. This is a sad moneygrab based entirely off of nostalgia, and i fell for their trap. Dont repeat my mistake.

Weapon swapping does not work, which is UNASCCEPTABLE FOR THE ASKING PRICE! On top of that the developer is focusing their resources on the HEADS UP DISPLAY INSTEAD OF FIXING THE GAMES FUNCTIONALITY! :poop: like this is why the mech genre is dead. On top of that despite having hardware that can run this game THE GAME STILL LAGS! Its unoptimized as all hell and in my case only the light flamethrower worked! THATS RIGHT KIDS, NONE OF THE OTHER GUNS ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WORKED! Ive requested a refund for this. Ill simply spend it on some other game thats more deserving of my money. Elite dangerous or star citizen come to mind immediatly.

The developer sillences criticism and the multiplayer is nonfunctional. I get dumped straight to the title screen. Also you can no longer have two different weapon types on your vector. The lmg is no longer in the game either.

Okay, for starters the games mouse sensitivity is horrid. With the sensitivity being so badly borked its no wonder i cant hit the broadside of a barn in this game.

Secondly throttle control does not work, which means you will literally get stuck on the second mission, unable to completye it after you go through a stargate.

Thirdly, this game takes WAAY too much control away from the player. So much so that i would say its unacceptable.

Fourthly, The voice acting is terrible. If you thought the voice acting was bad in other space games then you havent played this one. Its not hilariously bad, more like cringy bad.


Fithly there is no throttlew indicator on your hud. In a starfighter game this is a cardinal sin in my opinion.


Avoid this sh itty port like you would avoid testicular cancer. Spend your money on something else.

Trying to get this to run correctly on modern hardware is a purely 💩💩💩💩 experience. Great RPG but cant run on modern hardware

Save your money. Not even a full game in and I discover that the game has TERRIBLE connectivity literally to the point of being unplayable. Seriously, 200+ ping is inexcusable, even for Early Access. Also within this half session I asked players for tips on what to do. They pretty much told me to f|uck off. So not only does this game have connectivity AND lag issues but also a terrible community. Needless to say in a game like this that is a VERY BAD thing to have. As the games stands with the lag and community I cant reccomend it

Go elsewhere to spend your money.

Also if you read the devs EULA they are afraid of offending people with naz| references so to that I add a friendly reminder- If you forget history then you are doomed to repeat it. Allowing people to discuss it ensures that history isnt repeated. CENSORING it ensures it WILL be repeated.
