I loved the Zoo Tycoon games growing up as a child and now being able to play an updated zoo simulation game is perfect. This game at its base level has hundreds if not thousands of hours of play.

Pro
+ The graphics are stunning.
+ The game has amazing replayabilty and feels new each time.
+ Complex and detailed simulation game, it is not easy to get 5 stars across the board, you have to consider all details of your zoo.
+ Amazing campaign mode that really introduces the game to new players.
+ Amazing Dev team and community managers that listen to community feedback and take into account ways to improve the game from a community perspective when possible.
+ Great for any age to play.

Cons
- Bigger zoos can get laggy and require a great PC, however this is expected in a game like this but i thought i'd put it incase people were wondering
- There are bugs and glitches within the game, again this is expected and the dev team are very responsive in fixing these when possible. The bugs can get frustrating so it is something to be aware of. Things like keepers not going to keeper huts even though a path is connected. This usually is fixed by deleting and reattaching the path.

Overall for me the pros outweigh the cons. I would've loved more base game animals but understand why there aren't. DLCs will add to this and I am excited for more themed DLC that add in more animals and building pieces. If you enjoy simulation games this is a game i believe you'd enjoy.

So I have played a fair few hours now into Scorched Earth and I do love it, I have always loved ARK, whilst this DLC has come out even though the main game isn't finished I didn't hesitate to really buy it, I have put so many hours into the main ARK game that I wouldn't put into games double the price of both ARK: Survival Evolved & ARK: Scorched Earth combined. This game has so much replayablity to it.

Scorched Earth is brutal, even in the easy areas you will get wolves and raptors attacking you. You really have to play carefully around these to be able to survive in the start, you can find places to set up base where you will be mostly safe in this easy areas. Though you will have raptors visit your base often. I love that the difficulty of the game has increased, the 3 storm types electrical, heat wave and sandstorms make you play the game completely differently. You simply cannot survive outside during them and will need to build your base accordingly and you need a tent on you at all times.

You will want to find water as soon as your spawn in and build a base near water, without it you will die fast, there are multiple ways to find water in the scorched earth. Between water and storms your beginning days are hard but there are some tricks and tips to being able to survive. I've made a video of what i've done to help me survive those first few days.

The new creatures have a lot of added benefits although some are bugged at the moment, Jerboa warn of storms, Lymantria produce silk and spore (this is bugged current from what i can tell), Morellatops are your walking water jar (you can also knock out wild ones and drink from them if you're in a tricky situation with water), Spiney Dragons are a walking smithy which is great for when you need something while out adventuring. Plus the new bugs that produce water and oil. All these creatures help you survive this DLC so well and you can tell that they fit so perfectly in this world.

The one con to this and honestly even the main game is that there are just so many bugs and optimisation isn't great but if you can deal with that like you have the main game then I would highly recommend this DLC, if you're hesitant on the price wait for a sale maybe, but altogether I have paid about $40 for ARK and put in hundreds of hours. The price is worth it.

\\ Review to be update as I play through the game.

First Impressions -
This game draws you in right from the start, the monochromatic world is very intriguing and once you start being able to paint the world with colour it really brings the whole game to life. I can't wait to continue playing this game.

Music & Audio -
The voice acting is great and really brings you into the story. The soundtrack to this game is absolutely beautiful & really adds to the atmosphere of it.

Gameplay -
The controls are very easy to pick up on controller ( I have no played with a keyboard & mouse as they recommend a controller to play this ) I have had no issues with this and this is coming from a gamer that prefers keyboard & mouse.

If you'd like to see the first 20 minutes of gameplay please look here -

This game is very heartfelt. I love the way it addresses such a serious issue from a child's perspective. Whilst this game isn't always happy and cheerful it is such a wonderful game to play. The puzzles whilst tricky are not overly complicated and there are always help boxes for you.

This game has little additions to it like finding all the hats and some of the hat designs just make you laugh when he puts them on. I have a let's play of this game if anyone is interested in the play style. I highly recommend playing it!

This game is adorable. It is a short 10-15 minute puzzle game whilst the puzzles aren't overly complicated or anything like that it still keeps you wondering what will happen. The art style of the game is amazing.

I did a let's play of this game although I do recommend playing it before watching any let's plays of it.
