2023 And still jamming it. It pretty fun yes.

Didn't enjoy at release so gave it sometime but nothing has changed that I can see. Hopefully the current player base likes it that way.

Besides the building mechanics that has been in since release, the first game is just better in every way.

Water was easy to get because there was an easy preset for you to build it and the materials were in abundance.
Food was easy because tools to hunt was easy to make and the materials were in abundance.
(Have to get these 2 issues sorted otherwise you just walk around sick from drinking dirty water)
Shelter was easy due to the presets and made building in a team easy.
I also prefer the old environment. Even in the day it felt unsettling due to the wind in the trees and the noises coming from far away. The trees also seemed to be denser so you could not see past them making you wonder what could be there.
Progression seems to still be unconstrained. I can still just run straight over the mountains and straight to objectives just like at release. We just ran to all objectives and completed the game quick at release.

I will still go back to the first game if others are keen but not this one. Clearly the first game is a masterpiece that cannot be matched. That is my opinion. Thanks all the best.

When you figure out how to get match making to work let us know. Just errors and in the party but not in the lobby. I got this for free thank goodness from a friend through a bundle. Maybe the single player might be worth it but jamming with friends is a waste of time trying to get it to work.
