Pizza Tower is a very fun game that plays like Warioland and Sonic the Hedgehog. What impressed me the most was the attention to detail. Every level has unique gimmicks, settings, and enemies. It is a fresh experience that lets you build your skills without being repetitive. Difficulty is also pretty good. The game is not hard to get A rankings, but expect to replay a few levels and the bosses.

Overall mediocre. It starts out interesting with you having to respond to alien attacks in a 60s setting. Using M14s and shotguns to fight aliens as they terraform the earth gives the game some Identity. That is lost in the second half. A UFO is pulled out of the story's ass so you can fight the aliens on their generic scifi turf. You just start using alien weapons and can pick them off the ground.

Because of this, the side missions end up being the best, as you can actually feel powerful from leveling up in them, and they are all small fly in and kill alien set ups that should be expected with XCOM in the title. Babysitting your squad is also really clunky. Some missions are setup so they feel good when you can actually juggle your squad abilities, but that just makes you actually care about keeping them alive in the other missions, where they hinder you.

There was something here. Perhaps if it was just an FPS as originally planned it could have been good, but as it is now, its not worth your time,

If you like to hit enemies with cars, buy this game. Cars don't appear too often, but when they do, its a power trip.
