This is a really fun game. The level designs and gun focus make this a very different experience from VT2, while also feeling familiar to veteran players. If you like Vermintide, you'll likely enjoy this one just as much if not more. I know some of my friends prefer gunplay to sword combat so they are more at home here. I do miss the more interpersonal dialogue of the Ubersreik 5 but each class is very fun to play.

Your computer's really gotta be recent to be able to run this game, as I made my PC to run Monster Hunter: World, and my computer can not queue into quickplay without crashing every single time. I've accumulated my current playtime using my partner's PC because mine is just a year or two younger (sold at the same price range). The minimum required specs did not seem to be enough, as both my CPU and GPU were supposedly above minimum, but failed to play the game past the tutorial and the Psykanium. So be ready to troubleshoot. You've gotta have a machine that can run it if you're going to enjoy it.

I have been a fan of horde slaying games for a LONG time, and I can say with confidence that I've never found one as satisfying and continuously playable as Deep Rock Galactic. The thing I enjoy most about the game is how each of the four classes has such a unique and direct impact on the game. You can immediately tell when you have an Engineer on your team, and the same is true for all classes via different game-altering utilities. None of them feel like they tread on another class' toes. There truly feels like there is an abundance of class and build diversity once Overclocks are unlocked.
I am also a fan of horror as a genre, but I am scared easily so I tend to watch my partner play horror games. Deep Rock Galactic, however, takes a lot of visual inspiration from the horror genre but is able to maintain a lighthearted and goofy mood. The characters are dwarves after all. I am both terrified by the creatures of Hoxxes, and incredibly eager to fight them with my cool dwarf build.
