Hi. I'm BellmoTheGreat. And this is my Steam Profile. Obviously right lol? If you came here to send me a random friend request then I'm sorry but I don't accept those. So please stop sending me them! Thank you! :shantae_annoy:

There really isn't a whole lot interesting to talk about in regards to me. I'm just a guy in his late 20's with autism who happens to really like video games. I've been playing and enjoying video games since I first got my PlayStation 2 back in the early 2000's and to this day I still enjoying gaming as my main interest. I mean why else would I still have this Steam account? :DMCJester1:

Oh but don't get it twisted. I am NOT a gamer! Because unlike gamers I actually enjoy games, don't constantly nitpick every single little insignificant little thing, judge games based on what they are instead of what they "should be," am not a bigot, don't talk down on others for playing a game on a lower difficulty than me because I know not everyone plays video games for the same reasons as me, don't pretend like I know more about video games than the people who actually work in the industry and am not overly hostile towards games I don't enjoy or people who do enjoy games I don't enjoy! Seriously, the term "gamer" has become so synonymous with toxicity at this point I want nothing to do with it and would appreciate if you didn't call me it!

Questions for Gamers
Hi. So, I have a confession to make. I stopped associating myself with gamers. Not “I’ve stopped playing video games as a whole” or anything. In fact these past few years alone I’ve gotten really into achievement and trophy hunting in games. I just don’t associate with the greater gaming community as a whole. Why? Well, I think the best way to answer that is with my own question.

Do you believe that consuming the kind of low effort content that has been ♥♥♥♥ out by anti woke, Cinema Cins inspired and any sort of low effort gaming channels on Youtube that come of as if they judge games for purely petty or base levels reasons regularly has made you smarter in the context of being able to analyse video games?
What is pacing?
What do certain games do differently when you select certain difficulty levels?
Do you know what a Raid Boss is?
Can you tell me the difference between a game running in 30FPS and 60FPS?
Do you know what cinematography is?
How do certain games track different stats?
What is the role of each class in an turn based RPG?
Do you know why we use the term Metroidvania as dumb as I still think that name is?
Have how certain competitive games balanced out there characters to make it fair for everyone playing?
What is motion capture?
What is transmogging?
Can you tell me the major differences between a 2D and a 3D platformer?
Why do games like Doki Doki Literature Club work so well at keeping you on edge and anxious?
Do you know what makes certain action games be classed as either a Character Action or Soul’s Like and what games are famous in those particular sub genres?
Can you tell me what the difference between certain ports of popular games are?
Do you know why some people might play and enjoy cretin games and genre's over others and that not everyone will play a cretin game for the same reason as you?

If your being honest with yourself and not having to resort to Google, you don’t know the answer to any of these, yet you’ve been consuming content from those sorts of previously mentioned channels for what I can only presume has been years at this point and yet, they never talk about these sorts of things do they?

You see, as someone who actually has done serious game reviews in the past I can tell you right now that there so, so, SO many different aspects that go into talking about a game especially nowadays than just “this game has pronouns” or “this character is a certain gender” or “this character shouldn’t be strong enough to take down this opponent” or “this game is bad because it’s not what I wanted it to be” or “this game is bad because it has a lot of cliché’s in it” or “this game is bad because it’s different” or “this game is bad because it’s popular and everywhere online” or "I suck at this game so therefore it's bad!" These people teach you NOTHING about serious game analysis other than how to be a pedantic ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ who thinks they know more about video games than the people who actually work in the industry. It breeds the kind of resentment and hostility we are currently having to deal with online and one of the many reasons I stopped taking gamers seriously a long time ago.

I will continue to make fun of these kinds of people for as long as they continue to be like this and I don’t care who has a problem with it! We can’t even have a normal discussion about games we enjoy without some party pooper coming in to try and bring people down just because they don't like it persionally or bring some pointless culture war ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ into the conversation, I’m sorry, but I am over it!!!
