this is the video game equivalent of driving a 4x4 pickup truck with a giant trump flag. hyper masculine to the point of parody. it's peak.

its pretty good. i loved the aesthetic, but it's got a lot of pacing issues. i think the progression is a little wack since the most complex automation you ever do in the game is mid-game hellgem destabilizer tetris. further upgrades simplify automation without introducing any new challenges, which i think is a missed opportunity. overall though, i think the progression is satisfying and i did enjoy making Strange Contraptions

some parts of the game drag on for way too long, at certain points of progression you basically have to sit there and twiddle your thumbs but you can't tab out of the game because you have to refuel the silos and its just. bothersome.

i don't think the writing is as bad as people say it is, i thought it was quippy but not, like, terrible.

i love being an expendable cog in the Super Military Industrial Complex machine

they finally made a good vampire survivors game. everyone go home
