10/10 game, would recommend to anyone who likes stories in game. I only played the hard difficulty, so I cannot say whether or not the normal difficulty is fun. Hard was challenging enough for me to keep playing, with the main motivator being the story. The art is very well done, and the pixel animations made it clear that the game was something worked hard on. I'm gonna play the new game+ now but i strongly recommend.

Really good dungeon crawler, and approach to the Rogue-like genre. The music and art is a 10/10, it's what drew me into this game in the first place. The gameplay itself is a 8-9/10. It's not nearly as fluid as it feels like it should be, but it works for what it is, especially since the combat wasn't the best part of this game.
The best part of this game in my opinion was the way they worked in upgrades in a "Merchant"mechanic, and how well it works. After you get the hang of it, it becomes pretty interesting.
Overall, this game is worth the money, even if the ending of the story felt pretty out of place.
I rate 8/10, great game.

Early Access Review
Game good, very passionate dev team that clearly care about fleshing out this game and world into a 3D media.

This game is genuinely not as bad as many on the competitive side of the community claims. While I do wish the game got more competitive support, the game has gotten 2k hours from me.
The game itself is good, and usually when people say the game is bad, it's always either people at the top of the competitive scene claiming so after limit testing and finding flaws in certain aspects of the game, or people who cannot take that they lost a duel to someone with a 1h axe that gambled them.
The netcode for the game is honestly among the best in games I've played, and while content is constantly in a drought, fighting in this game is so satisfying, that, hundreds - thousands of people are still playing daily despite no new updates coming in recent weeks/months. This is one of my favorite games, and by extension, has made the melee slasher genre much more attractive to me.
2/10 remove kicks and crouch and chambers :)

Now, I played through the game once, and I can say that yes, it's enjoyable and the overall story was interesting.
However, I never felt more frustrated when the game thinks you are supposed to know all the ins and outs of the mechanics by showing you once. There were parts that should have been much simpler, and parts that should have been more challenging.
This is more nitpicking than anything.
(Slight spoilers without describing what happens in the game)

The story is good, and constantly makes you question the morals and ideals of those around you. At a certain point you might start to question your own I suppose, if you're that kind of thinker.

The Good outways the Bad heavily, and if I had to say the worst thing about the game, it's that it loves to make you backtrack throughout the game in small and big ways constantly. The big ways are much less of an issue(to the point that it really is just a slight inconvienience) and the small backtracks are the worst.

If you make it through the backtracking there's an amazing game with a great story, and well put together.
7/10
