Striking visual style and innovative gameplay, however some design choices interfered with the game's immersion at times. Far too often I was just getting lucky guessing the fates of some of the crew which didn't feel satisfying for a game about solving a mystery.

Good lord I spent an ungodly amount of time doing trial and error for the Chinese topmen and figuring out the guy that crawled away. I did think it was a nice touch that one of the survivors is the guy who sent you on this quest, but I completely missed that until I got the bad ending

An exercise in incredible game design

The difficulty curve and the increasing complexity of the game as it progresses is wonderfully done that leads to a continuous sense of accomplishment and engagement. And although Forager borrows elements from multiple other indie titles it manages to have its own unique identity and style.

Beautifully polished art style and soundtrack, well written plot (barring a few plotholes), simplistic yet challenging puzzles.

I liked the "big reveal" at the end quite a lot and I'm a huge sucker for very-well designed puzzles. Every piece in each puzzle in the game felt intentional with no extra pieces and all of them were enjoyable to solve

-Takes playing the first two games to fully understand later chapters
-Amazing soundtrack like DG1+2 but V3's has the best one to chill to
-New/reworked mechanics in class trials are quite fun
-Cast of characters is written wonderfully (except like 3 of them)
-There is like 3 extra games modes after beating the main game
-Final chapter is a big brain moment

-Excellent story with unique, interesting, and memorable characters
-Wonderful world-building and dystopian cyberpunk theme
-Gameplay elements are fun, engaging, and full of secrets
-Absolutely phenomenal OST (just buy the game for the music, it's that good)
-And uh ya know... waifu bartending

All in all, the game is a refreshing take on the traditional VN genre, the second installment will have very big shoes to fill

One the my all-time favorite games! Great to play with a group of friends!
