One of my favorites
A must try with friends and a labor of love as the devs keep updating it after over 10 years of support.
Thank you for everything Terraria Devs.

I'll start by saying this; I absolutely love this game.
I would describe it as somewhat of a Breath of the wild with Darksouls, WoW classic and Magicka influences.

Having said that, I'll recognize that it can deter many players from getting the full experience if they are not willing to spend some good hours into it and get to know the awesome mechanics and really rewarding gameplay.
I started my experience by dying a lot and not understanding how to properly engage in fights or preserve my stamina, which led to some frustration until I managed to get some mana. After that I decided to use all of the tools the game gave me to survive, either new abilities, potions, tripwire traps or simply being more careful when approaching any creature. after that it was only smooth sailing from there on out.
The game is slow at the beginning but once it picks up it is really worth it. It truly makes you feel like you're an adventurer, but not by story or character development, but by making you want to visit new places, you'll never feel you're in the wrong place because you'll always find some interesting dungeon or miniboss to fight.
the graphics are pretty although nothing spectacular, but when they want to, they can be breathtaking. Beautiful landscapes with awesome colors and neat ideas. Creatures are very distinct with awesome designs and some fun ways to engage in combat, which makes it really refreshing.
The magic system is deep and most of all, really fun to use. And I love the risk/reward aspect of it all, you'll always have to sacrifice something to make the best build you want, which makes you invest in what your character becomes.

All in all I'd say that this game is not for everyone, but if you want a wonderful new experience, and you're willing to engage with the game and it's survival mechanics, this game will give you countless hours of good fun.
I really hope more people get to play this (not flawless) masterpiece.

I have to say, this is my favorite game from 2020, beautiful artstyle, wonderful voice acting, thrilling gameplay and tons of replayability.
I got hooked into this "coming of age" story from the first dialogue until I managed to get to the credits. it has a great sense of humor and knows precisely when to make those jokes, as it tracks your progress to further the character interactions as you go along.

It was a rough year, but the care and effort that went into this game made it a lot more bearable.

I´m happy to say that all of my problems in the eearly access have been fixed, the UI although still simple, has been expanded upon, allowing now for a skill bar of over 7 abilities, an easy but welcome modification.
The artstyle is a gorgeous evolution from the originals with some really nice environments, although it can get a bit repetitive, when the characters move it feels like claymation.
I also like the decision to include audio logs that expand upon the story of the original games and I really enjoy the voiceover on this things.

The game is simple and less interesting than T2 in terms of story and build variety, but still really fun to play and with some new additions like the fort that can keep you occupied for a while.
It is a fun, light-hearted way to spend time if you just want to kill monsters for a few hours while customizing your characters and fort.

It still can be made better, some animations like the Multishot from the sharpshooter still overlap the bow animation independent of which weapon you're using which can ruin the inmersion.
The good thing is that the Devs seem to be really good listeners and care for the game, taking notes of what fans want, so I don't doubt that they'll keep improving it.
