What's to say; some of the greatest sci-fi fps action games with the most iconic soundtracks ever of the early 2000's. Halo today has lost basically all its influence these days but if you're curious to see a saga that shaped entire generations of gamers then you should play it.

Boring.

Doesn't matter how many updates come out the loop is the same. Mine, explore, loot, craft, build. All in an empty universe. No cities, towns, or any sort of organized life beyond the space stations and desolate outposts.

Doesn't help the graphics are quite ugly either. Robot voice is super annoying with no way to turn it off and I don't want to hold E to interact with literally everything.

How are they gonna update this game for so many years and not offer such basic QoL changes?

Bought this a few years ago, checking back now in 2024 and seeing its still in early access? Whats going on? Doesn't look like much has changed based on the store page images/videos. Seems like development is at a snails pace.

A classic

Honestly the only reason you should get this is if you want to support AH and for the SMG which isn't really that good anyway. Everything else in the super citizen edition is mid at best.

I'm replaying this now a few years later with the directors cut upgrade and there's way too much dialogue and cutscenes. Just let me play the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game. First two chapters are kinda of a slog until you unlock better tools.

A legendary rougelite game. One of the best. Much easier and more fun now than when it first released.

Its like a worse xcom. No turns, which isn't bad, just different. The game has handcrafted levels rather than procedural, which hurts its replayablility. But each level is memorable and repeatable if you need to extract. The intro tutorial is too long too. Its hard to promote and manage soldiers, impossible to do while selecting a squad to deploy which just seems dumb. No music when finishing or deploying to a mission, a huge mistake imo.

Gameplay overall is good. Not as good as xcom, but if troop management was more flexible in which UI you use like xcom, and there was some pre and post mission music it would be a heavy reccomend for any aliens fan but its just a O.K. currently for me.

Game is good now. Most support weapons can deal with heavies and more stratagems have been buffed.
