I didn't think I would sit down and just read text and make desicions for 10 hours straight, forgetting to eat or drink.
But I am not disappointed it happened.
I wish there were more games like this.

I want to promote and recommend this game for its creativity and neat mechanics however, it still has a long way to go.

My review is going to focus on potential improvements directed at the devs:
(you won't gain much as a potential player by reading my review)

• Maybe lock most crafting/inventory options at the start of the game. It is incredibly hard to focus on what is important if I have a tutorial to a menu and mechanics that I have never seen in action. (together with better tooltips you might not have to invest too much into tutorials and extensive explanations)

• Improve Tooltips and cover all keywords: I can't judge some of the guardians' skills due to this -> Have a look at Paradox Games' Tooltips they do this really well.

• You NEED a bug report feature. I have a very low amount of playtime and I faced multiple game breaking bugs. Especially save/load does currently lead to several bugs (not all relevant data is serialized)

• I believe you should per default allow to inspect enemies (on right click). The right click which is already used for inspection in the menu should be used for the same functionality in combat.

• Your game would highly benefit from a combat log -> there are a lot of passive abilities and other interactions which I searched for in the character description. I still haven’t found some of them (affinity).

• I haven’t got a clue how to counterplay the ghosts’ dodging of my active abilities during dream-map movement. Maybe I am clueless, maybe this needs to be worked on.

• The reward system is not very transparent.

• Music could use smoother transitions.

I would recommend working on existing- and quality of life features. The game already has a healthy amount of content to play with, which I enjoyed.

Not sure how people could ever recommend a game like this. 80 bucks for this mediocrity is ludicrous. On top of that I probably could have done better writing asking any random 3 year old for a plot. Acceptable gameplay (combat) with some amount of cool mechanics don't make up for its negatives at all. Fitting a good linear story and throwing away all of its planetary exploring options would have made this game potentially playable. Then I wouldnt have spent time walking on top of a shallow planet following markers to indistinguishable places. Just to do another fetchquest or fight the same type of enemy for the 3rd time.

Felt immersive all the way through. I enjoyed the story and characters.
The game does not give away too much information on quests/objectives and still provides enough for you to know where you can start. Choices feel like they mean something and help develop your player character.
