Great self-guided tour of a historic castle! So serene.

Have you ever wanted to be a pixellated morphsuit murderer and snap someone's neck so hard they explode then get eaten by an obese pink Chain Chomp? That's Nidhogg!

In short? Simple to learn, difficult to master, makes you feel badass, very intense, and awesome with friends. I was a little disappointed by the small number of maps, though otherwise a great game. Snag it during a sale.

Awesome and unique gameplay, never boring, great level design, and hilarity everywhere. Seriously, I looked forward to the exposition before each level because you could be the snarkiest jerk imaginable and I was falling out of my chair laughing. Highly recommended.

Wow.
In short, the game'll only take about an hour to finish, but that single hour was more fun than most games can offer in the same amount of time. It does right on the mistake so many simple games falter on; it doesn't overstay it's welcome. It's constantly moving, completely crazy, and I really enjoyed it.

Buy it on a sale, and make some sweet jams.

This game has aged incredibly well. INSANELY well. It's a blast to play, the graphics are rarely an issue, and good storytelling doesn't get worse over time. Max Payne's signature jump...things are always satisfying, and slaughtering the infinite hordes of sleazy New Yorkers is as satisfying as any modern TPS, with a dark, comic book story to boot. Note, this game is DARK. Like, really, really dark. As far as I could see, there wasn't a single human (apart from Max's wife, who is dead) who wasn't either severely psyschologically disturbed, depressed, psychotic, self-centered, or just an all-around slimeball. There are no happy endings, and Max knows it.
