I made the mistake to play My time at Sandrock first, and got over 180 hours in it, while still doing playthroughs just for the fun of it. Had to try this game too and as the older game you can see where some QoL stuff is still missing. This one feels a lot more tedious/grindy.
However, it is a really charming and fun game and im enjoying my time here. I like the progression through the main story and enjoy interacting with the NPC's.

I came in with VERY high expectations. They are exceeded. Excellent game so far.

This is just so much fun. Played the base game in multiplayer with my best friend, and now rejoined forces for an adventure in the DLC biome. Same vibe, but still it feels different enough to just want to explore and see everything once more.
Having a lot of fun so far. Also the new world looks beautiful.

There is a lot to do in this game, and the artstyle is really cute. I am enjoying my time so far.

I cannot even create a character. In character creation instead of a character, i see strange warbled pixels, and i cannot change the angle or viewpoint. It is like somehow the camera is zoomed so far in its inside of the character.

will hopefully be able to change my review later, if i can get past this weird bug.

About 71 hours in and i am completely hooked.
I'm nowhere near close to finishing the story, but what i love so far is that everyday there is PLENTY to do.
The main gimmick is building and crafting items, which i adore in every game. This is all weaved into a pretty massive story, and comes naturally as you play.
There are clear goals to work towards, raking in the gols with commissions so you can upgrade your workshop is fun.
Combat is pretty basic, but it stays fun because there are different fightingstyles to choose from and again, not the main focus of the game.
There is also (sand)fishing, gathering items, farming and ofcourse all the lifesim stuff.
All characters feel very well written and the main story itself is also just really good!
Even all sidequests are fun because i feel like i learn something new about the world and characters.

Another thing that i really appreciate is that the more you progress the story, the more you see the town blossom. In the start there is just you and the NPC's that live there, but eventually you will see tourists coming in, the town getting prettier, etc etc. It feels very rewarding.


All in all, this is for me a 9/10.

It's cute, but besides that it did not really do much for me.
I found that managing stuff is more distracting, instead of helping me focus on tasks than other focustools/idle games.

It's very fun so far. I love the music, the way the game looks, and everything just works. Smooth controls, and crafting is easy to learn.
It was a bit of searching on where to go at the start, because the game feels a bit like a sandbox. But once it clicked, i could just keep going. Also... fox spirit is just too adorable and cute!

For me this was a great blend between RPG and farming sim.
Definitely hope there wil be more games in this style.

The gameplay is pretty fun, and the game seems pretty f2p friendly too. I never played anything shooter related before, but this was easy to pick up and it is smooth to play.
