This is a fantastic game and a must-have for anyone who enjoys factory-style games. My experience has been mostly positive but I should also say that Satisfactory has a few cons which I will address below. I know many Satisfactory fans absolutely hate it when people compare this game to Factorio, but it's impossible not to compare the two biggest factory building games currently. And personally, Factorio is a 10/10 game for me whereas Satisfactory is a 8.5/10. They really need to address some issues in the base game in order to improve it IMO

Pros:
- Really fun game. The technology tree progress is intuitive and you don't need to look anything up on the internet, everything can be found within the game itself which is always a great plus for me.
- Graphics are amazing. The game looks gorgeous on Ultra.
- Map is huge, much bigger than I anticipated and the different biomes give the world a very alien-like feeling
- Obtaining resources in this game is not hard. Ores are infinite, meaning you won't have to look for new nodes every X hours (looking at you, Factorio) and local creatures won't destroy your machines. Even though these aspects can be fun and challenging when applied under certain circumstances, not having to deal with all that is also pretty cool.
- The game's "story" is not exactly linear and it is mostly told through the dialogs from FSIC's AI and a certain... entity. It definitely reminded me of Subnautica a lot, which is another game I loved deeply.

Cons:
- Lack of a proper resource management tool or even something to assist you with resources in the endgame, and this is where the first Factorio comparison comes in. You have absolutely no idea how much you're producing of X resource unless you go to the location of your Miners/Fabricators/etc and check it yourself. Not a big deal when you're in the first 2 tiers, but turns the game into a huge walking/jetpacking simulator later on when your factory is the size of a small city and you have to keep going back and forth everywhere to better understand your resource output for certain materials. Every single one of my resources has been directed to one location in my world, which I turned into a big 'Storage Facility" just to try and make things easier, and it's still a pain in the ass. Factorio makes our lives easier by simply allowing players to quickly check how much of any resource they are producing at any given time, how much we are using, etc. Not only that, but Roboports also make the player's life a blessing in the endgame. Satisfactory needs something similar to automate certain parts of the process. The Hover and the Dimensional Depot (or whatever it is called) are not even close to being enough.
- On top of the above, the last 2 tiers are absolutely gut-wrenching. Once you get to Computers, things start getting overly complicated, which makes sense since this is a Factory Building game after all! However, the problem is that since the game doesn't really offer you any proper ways to automate the repetitive parts of early game, you are forever stuck in the same loop. The only difference from early game and late game is that you have a hoverjet to fly around, but you're still building everything yourself instead of managing the factory and dealing with other things, which would be much more interesting for the endgame.

Again, Satisfactory is great. It's worth it. Just keep in mind it can get extremely repetitive and complicated towards endgame.
