Gameplay is literally just ass. Characters with ranged attacks are so overpowered you'll just get stunlocked and destroyed without being able to counter them. You need to collect 3 revive cards to bring back allies, but they're impossible to find.

It's like XCOM without the fun of XCOM's combat.

The turn system is flawed because it hardly ever allows you to kill an enemy before they and their team do damage to you. This is especially annoying when basically all damage requires repairing the party's armor or healing them, taking resources that are very limited, at least at the start.

Perhaps the greatest deckbuilder I've ever experienced in terms of looks. I've played and replayed the demo on repeat just to get a taste of the enemies that'll be present in the full game. Does a great job of making every move you make seem critical. Forming a plan in your head of what you're gonna do rewards you with completing missions in a shorter turn number, giving you money.

"Should I slip around this enemy, and THEN push them into the line of sight of the gunner? Or should I move the gunner in front of the melee enemy, so it takes damage before shooting at the guy behind me?"

Seeing your dominoes toppling is a great experience. Can't wait to see the sick moves I can pull off in the full game.

Game taught me more about the value of Alt + F4 scumming than Iron Man Mode in XCOM.
Very pretty in its simplicity, and awesome in its gun / weakpoint mechanics, but I didn't really find much of a difference in play-style between guns, despite the lack of a safety switch on some.
It's clear that the devs have a real heart in the game, but I can't ignore the issues that constantly made me want to beat my head against a wall.
If you end up listening to a large amount of the tapes, there's a good chance you'll come across the bug in which there are a crazy number of tapes present on the map, but picking them up neither plays audio nor adds them to your score. Because you will very often get de-ranked, it is very possible that you will encounter this issue upon having picked up like 70 tapes without even making it to insight 3.
The difficulty ramp leading up to the 5th level of the game is inherently flawed in that encountering more difficult turrets is cool and challenging and makes you think about every action, but when you get spotted from a mile away by a flying drone you didn't know existed-- because its light doesn't show up-- and immediately have to sprint because trying to aim at a drone flying frantically towards you at 60 mph in a game that constantly pushes you to be slow, calm, and calculated, is a death sentence, which will cause you to be deranked, where you will listen to another 5 tapes about how to not get upset over failure because "there was no other way things could have gone."
I had 2 experiences ever in which I was able to shoot a rushing drone and survive, and both of them resulted in me having little to no ammo for the rest of the level.
The game also sets up situations that seem genuinely random. Like skill can't help you. A sleeping turret you didn't know was there wakes up for literally no reason while you're hacking a turret across from it? Enjoy the derank. You wanna hack a flying drone, like, ever? Give G the lightest love tap, the drone will immediately agro, even if it didn't have its light on you, turn red, and tase you. All within one second with no room to react, shoot, or run. Enjoy the derank. Wanna do anything whatsoever on insight 5? Enjoy the probable derank. Wanna jump up to the ledge in order to pop the 3 ammo balloons that are placed there SPECIFICALLY so you have to get up to the ledge to pop all of them in one shot to conserve the oh-so-precious resource of ammo? Enjoy falling to your death. Enjoy the derank.

All in all, playing with the mechanics and listening to the amazingly voiced tapes made the game fun. Playing any level past 2 made me want to shove sharpened pencils in my ears whenever I heard the beep of a killdrone spotting me.

For an early access game, this one is primo. It's challenging and extremely rewarding when you succeed, and extremely punishing when you fail, constantly making you think about if your strategy and how to improve on it to conserve more ammo or make less noise so you don't get discovered by other players. At the same time, however, there is no early access game without flaws, and this is no exception. There are occasional issues with framerate, some latency problems, and some balancing issues that will probably be ironed out over time.
If you're the type of person to look for games that wear their difficulty on their arm, this game fits what you're looking for aptly.

Doki Doki Literature Club is an amazing visual novel full of adorable girl that will tug at your heartstrings. There is a deeper meaning behind everything you see throughout the game, and that makes it nothing short of beautiful.
I have told many of my friends to play this game already, and I am sure to continue to do so in the future.
If you are on the fence about playing this game, do not look up anything, do not pay attention to anything anybody says about it, and do not watch playthroughs of it on YouTube.
This game is something that can only be truly described as an experience, and I hope that if you're reading this, you decide to go for it, and really experience it for all it's worth.

I'm bad at this type of game, and thus, definitely have a bad opinion of it. However, despite a few balancing issues that the developers are currently working on, I'd say it's a generally great buy. If you're into games like Dead by Daylight, you'll be into this. (Pro tip: Chad Kensington is the only good character, especially when you get the perk that allows you to sue Jason for assaulting you.)

This game is utterly broken in its current state. You can tell when you're near someone because your connection will start lagging to ♥♥♥♥. Due to this, nearly every encounter I've had has led to my anger and death. For instance, someone walks into a room I'm guarding. I blast them with a shotgun at point blank range, they teleport to the other side of the room, rotate like they're on a pivot, and aggressively aim at me, before I die, having never lost any health, only to hear the bullet sound effect AFTER I die.

It was all fine and dandy, until they added a killer that has the capability to easily get past 2 of the only 3 things you can use to not be caught with.

Great game, but seemingly impossible to join a server.
