A really amusing game to spend some time with. There are so many different things you can do to terrorize the villagers and it's a lot of fun to try them all out and be an evil overlord. Definitely recommend the game, It's not in a finished state but nonetheless it's fun and the updates have added some great stuff already.

I typically describe this game as what dark souls might be if it was a 2D side-scroller rather than a 3D title. For those of you who couldn't get enough of dark souls, buy this game immediately.

Pros:
- Fantastic creepy look and feel
- Like dark souls this game does a great job at making the world around you seem dark, evil, and unforgiving.
- Good Melee Combat System and Weapon Options
- Melee weapons have enough combos to keep combat interesting and engaging. Different combos are good in different
situations. Additionally there are lots of weapon types to build your character around. Some of the basic ones are: Sword,
Spear, Ax, Whip, Dagger, Hammers, Bows, etc...
- Good Skill System
- Salt and Sanctuaries skill system takes after Path of Exile in many regards. It is very open ended and allows you great
customization over how your character's skills. Hybrid classes are definitely possible.
- Great Boss Fights
- The bosses are well designed. Every boss's move-set changes as their health gets lower. Additionally bosses get more and
more aggressive the closer they get to death ensuring that you'll never have a dull boss fight.
- Amazing Level Design
- Much like dark souls this games level design is characterized by being very interconnected. The path through the game is
somewhat linear in what areas you do but there are always many many different ways to get from point A to point B.
- Creeds and Sanctuaries
- Unlike dark souls, in salt and sanctuary you join a creed (faction) that over time gives you access to refresh-able items like w
weapon buffs, throwables, and more healing items. Joining a creed is necessary so that you can claim
sanctuaries/checkpoints/bonfires for your creed. Once you've done that you can bring a variety of npc's to your sanctuary
that can offer a variety of services as well as buffing the area the sanctuary is in.
- The Game is pretty long
- The game has about 22 areas all in all. It's a pretty good sized game for less than $20 bucks.

Cons:
- There is a story, kind of...
- The story is pretty much, you washed up on a beach and your looking for a princess that your supposed to be protecting.
The story exists, it's there, that's about it.
- Aesthetic Character Creation is limited
- For the most part all your characters of the same gender will look pretty identical. There are however a good variety of ways
to build your character. So there is replay-ability.
- Right Trigger is dodge by default xD
- Maybe I'm out of cons but right-trigger should not be dodge roll lol
