Still Solid. And probably the only one of these ported well to PC.

Want a beat'em up disguised as a Zombie romp? Here it is. River City Ransom but 3D and a shopping mall full of zombies, survivors, and mentally deranged individuals.

Don't want to play the story and ♥♥♥♥ off for 3 days? Fail the main story and keep playing.

No guns? No problem. Grab a trash can and have a ball, hell, take'em to wrestle-mania if ya want.

All in all still fun 20 years later. Fair to complete in a reasonable amount of time. can finish in less than a day or 2 but repeat playthroughs and exploration for secrets is always fun.

Was sent on a simple job to clear a cave of goblins.

Proceeds to see pawns get ganged on. Minotaur + goblins running my ♥♥♥♥ so i cant raise my pawns. IT STARTS RAINING. I leave my pawns for dead running away paining i just left them. Find an abandoned house with a campsite. Gonna camp til mor- nope...my pawn had the camping kit who is now dead. I can wait till morning or tempt fate.

So i tempt fate in the dark, barely alive, hoping i stumble into a town. I see a light in the distance. Its a lost women looking for a guide to her home town. I help. Some wolves show up. WHOOP MY ASS. I barely survive that. Limp on. See some lights that look like a village in the distance of dark. I make way for it. Finally, saft- naw its a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bandit camp and i just happen to be ruining their night. I died, cold wet, alone, lost.

...i cant say i could have a story like that with many other games with the systems on hand.

Save the performance. Save the game.

The meager yet not enter. Those willing to be forged in the ways of the blade and the patience to push forward are in for a fat nut upon the victory of which non other will give you. Victory here feels so damn good, because that ♥♥♥♥ was earned.

Try this before playing fighting games online :D

This game is OLD and unfinished. But it did have alot of innovative aspects to it that we later saw applied to more modern monster hunter titles and a few things ive yet to see replicated in other titles. Im not gonna sugar coat it, the first time play through leading he first hour or so will feel pretty dry, but those hours after that are a different game and after the halfway mark (you'll know because this stops being just another midevil game and the Capcom starts to show) are pretty rad!

Take your time to get to know the lay of the land in your first play-through because there are some pretty neat things to discover!

And pro-tip: Do NOT go to bitterblack isle unless you've cleared the main playthrough twice or have a grind plan. That place puts DS to shame. im not foolin.

Gas? Fire sets it off. Fire? Smoke grenades become explosives. Foam walling? Flammable. Zoomies? Squishy. Heavies? Tanky. AND THEN theres Flame throwers, cloak and knives, riot shields, grenade launchers, gas grenades, gas mines, flash bangs, firenades, GRENades, silenced pistols, swords, sledge hammers (that can break damn near any surface/wall) Heal beams, OW shields, and Randomized stage weather/hazards/conditions.)

A Modern Team arena shooter with 3v3v3 or 3v3v3v3. Just to keep the chaos going in all directions.

And some how manages to keep all these selections in a format that doesnt break the RPS of weapon kits per class. Chef kiss.

Game Phresh with a PH. Does enough to envelope the JSRF vibes while also doing enough to stand on its own legs. Honestly feels like a love letter to most arcade extreme sports games of old with alot of love to art and music! Only gripe i have is no rock representation like in JSR with thr dragula mix, but alas still holds strong.

Cant wait to see what this game does for the creative community at hand and will DEFINITELY be modding my own works into this game.

FINAL NOTE! The Music has its own type of kick to me. Didnt feel like JSR but does have the same energy? Idk how to say it but the Hip-hop track of Home base just...sets teh mellow and everything else sets the bop and cerebral moods this game is definitely riding on.

9/10 Would love to see an append to this already stellar game.

Need a walk? Is it a blizzard outside? Heat wave? I recommend this if you want to game but also just want a quiet moment. Theres alot here that happens on your long walk...but thats kinda the charm.

TLDR - A cozy time action game that gets wierd from time to time.

Fantastic World, Fantastic Music, Fantastic systems! My personal Fav FF game along with Tactics and FFX. Would totally recommend giving this one a spin if your looking for a less stream lined experience in the later half. plenty to experiment with as well as replay do to mixing the different jobs! I owned the Original Western version and the switch version and the Steam Version is still probably my go to version for experiencing this title! GO FOR IT.

Only con is the story is very rooted in politics and magic. the characters are great outside of the primary 2 protagonist you start with. Annnnnd....the grind wall can be heavy if you try to play without short cuts. (there is an exploit you can do early to waive that but look that up at your own will)

All in all i'd give it a solid 8/10 to any JRPG players out there!
