im only 4 hours in but so far its a very fun game. im barely scratching the surface. the fact this is early access from a SINGLE developer is mind blowing. the possibility this game possesses is wild and if this dev can either get a team, or get enough time he can take this to the moon. no other developer deserves the $20 more than this guy.

obviously it has its faults. a little janky, a little buggy. but overall its extremely fun so far.

so far ive found this game extremely fun. for early access it feels extremely well polished and although some characters are obviously better than others, none of them feel overtly OP. honestly i can see this being a big game going forward, especially with crossplay/cross progression.

they say this is one of the best RPG games of all time, and they are right. this game has literally everything you could ask for in a game. Hours and hours and hours of gameplay. hundreds, if not thousands, of sidequests. the main story is extremely long, almost too long. the story is enough to get you hooked, reel you in, and keep you in. i know many people who have played this game for thousands of hours. playing it start to finish over, and over again because its just that good. if it tells you anything, i own this game on xbox, PS4, and PC. i may not have a ton of hours in the PC version ( i just got a PC) but this was certainly, without a doubt, one of my very first games i dove into once i got one. 11/10

EDIT FOR 4.0 REVIEW: as of 12/14/22 the game is unplayable. the 4.0 patch makes it so the game doesnt even launch. multiple people are having crashes, error messages, and more. for me personally, the game launches as a BACKGROUND PROCESS that uses 70% CPU space and NEVER FULLY LAUNCHES. games getting negative recommend until fixed. 11/10 while working, 1/10 now.

FUN GAME, MANY FLAWS.

the game in and of itself is great. its a great concept and well executed -- with a few caveats to that.

the gameplay is good. top notch. i feel as though it is smooth and polished. even with the gameplay being great, there are some characters (...tooke...) who needs balancing. he is very OP in comparison to other heroes.

my main complaint however, is the objective basis. i have found a lot of my games dwindle down to a pre-made squad literally sitting and waiting. not engaging, not even going after objectives, just waiting for my team to do all the work. the reason they do this is in the end, you only need the very last tick while extracting the treasure chest to win. so they sit and wait until the very end, then swoop in and finish the game for the win. a simple way, in my opinion, to fix this would be to add two seperate tick bars that both go up at the same speed. one for your team, and one for the enemy, that way they they cant come in on the last tick and get a cheese win. Either a seperate bar, or make the single bar more of a tug of war where each squad has to fill its own bar. if your team has 2 ticks and then the enemy begins to secure the chest, the original bar has to go back down before it goes up for their team. just a thought.

overall, the gameplay is fun. ESPECIALLY with friends. i hope to see this game grow tremendously.
