The best Telltale experience hands down.
You will always have the same story, but your decisions during it drastically effect the character's reactions to Bigby.

I have been enjoying this game for the last week. I have picked it up quicker than games like Cold Waters.
I particularly enjoy the fact that you can manually input calculations or you can let your crew do the work.

In my most recent escapade I sunk 5 merchant ships, of which one was a "needle in a shipstack" where command requested I sink it for the benefit of the war effort. It was sick to duck and weave in between a convoy of ships and evade the escorts while working on torpedo solutions manually.
The deck gun did half the work and adds a different dimension to the game.

I would recommend this game if you enjoy putting in some learning to ensure you can engage your opponents properly. I appreciate that the game isn't too extreme and doesn't take weeks and weeks to learn.

I logged almost 9 hours in one sitting. Enjoyable to say the least.
Great with some friends and has options for dedicated or peer to peer servers.

I've played with Americans, other Canadians, Brazilians, and Norwegians. All of which have worked in the name of the company.

One of the few games people actually come together from all places to have fun.

I was a fan of RCT2 back in the day. This is a good comparison/replacement.

This is the same enjoyment, but 3D.
Plus you can ride your own roller coasters with the "ride camera".

I picked this game up one sale for around $40. I'd say that's a fair price for what you get.

Since the "Gut Feeling" update was released, I figured I would try the game after hearing mixed or negative reviews on release. This update makes the game sound actually interesting.

The combat is quite good, with later skills making you feel like a "Spriggan" where you can jump off enemies into the air, then ground pound them.
I like how you can choose how to fight enemies. I can grapple with them, or just attack them head-on using blocking or armor.
I like to dodge hits in the first place, and spring around your opponents using your free-running skills to your advantage.

Speaking of the free-running, this aspect of the game is also satisfying and has a skill tree for its progression. Eventually you can run up/along walls and move around with ease. It's cool to add movement to your combat as you can use the environment your advantage.

The new gore update is nice to see as the game before was extremely unsatisfying when
attacking enemies.
Now when striking opponents there is a good variation of destruction to the target. Even comparing this to dead island 2 I would give it a high score.
I especially appreciate the sound design that went into the gore. The blood splashing on the ground, opponents choking on their blood, the distinct "clink" of your weapon hitting a skull.
Additionally, the reactions of the enemies when struck is interesting. Depending on the damage done to to the target, the enemy may be essentially "out of the fight" when hit once. I remember shattering a person's jaw off with a baseball bat; they stumbled backwards not yet dead, and no longer attacked me. They eventually bled out and collapsed while I fought their comrades. Visual damage to struck or cut areas is progressive depending on how many times you attack or how much damage you caused.

The main negative is that the story is terrible. 0/10 I would avoid it if possible.

Side quests are sometimes better done than the main story, so you may find a gem here and there. I haven't explored everything, so there's likely others to find.

Overall, I'd say on sale maybe consider picking this up if the above sounds interesting.

My Review: 6/10 Terrible story, good combat.

A fun alternative to the first game, I say alternative because this is more of a separate game rather than a sequel.

This game is different in many ways, but has a similar landscape and cave system. The map is a lot bigger than before, but we are missing some key aspects from the first game.

I hope they add water transportation like the previous game, but being in early access who knows what's to come.

Fun in the current build, i'd recommend having a go.
