Although you do have some freedom to walk around, investigate, and solve the case in the trial, this is pretty much a visual novel that combines high school life, anime style graphics, and a battle royale-esque lone survivor mentality.

After each murder, you and your classmates have to find the killer or you will all die. Some of the characters are quite friendly and likeable. Try not to get too attached though...

Even if you are not a huge fan of visual novels, this game is great for its unique (ok, sometimes they fall into cliche) characters and crime-solving aspects.

11/10 would send my classmates to the electric chair again.

It's basically Mario Party meets anime. It doesn't have mini-games that eat up a lot of time like Mario Party, and the game progresses quickly since everything is settled via dice rolls.

With an online multiplayer option where you can unlock costumes and level up to a campaign mode where you can unlock characters and earn some coin, this game is addictive and will keep you entertained for a long time.
