Great game that really draws you through a great and atmospheric experience. While I'm not exactly that scared or surprised by things in it after playing Shadow of Chernobyl and Clear Sky back to back, the atmosphere remains on-point and keeps you on your toes regardless.
While the shooting mechanics and graphics are a little antiquated, I feel that they hold up well once you get used to it. The series making use of a realistic artstyle while keeping it gloomy really helps.

I had only one issue with bugs, and that was because I'd modded the game with Absolute Nature 3.01. Made me crash at the final mission two times, but I'm savvy enough to find the fix for it.

The ending was nice too. In a "where are they now?" kinda way, and it calls back to your adventure really well.

Without being too clouded by 2016 since I haven't played it in a while, the game reminds me of the more hectic moments of playing Doom 2.

It takes a bit to get used to all the systems, but if you put more than a few hours into it, it's very fun.

I've played this game before it went on steam, but there's very little faults with it aside from some bugs. Compared to other Touhou games (specifically the previous installment, Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom), this game might be perceived as being easy, but it really isn't, not if you aren't used to the difficulty and can learn the patterns quickly.

The music is pretty good, some might say that it's not his best work, but I think it has some really good tracks, namely Hidden Star in All Seasons, Concealed Four Seasons, Illusionary White Traveler, A Pair of Divine Beasts, but the others are pretty fine too.

As with any touhou game, the characters have plenty of personality and more of which can be derived from their origins in folklore, myth and such. I'd say it's definitely worth checking out if you like "simpler" more arcade-ish games, like bullet hells.
