Early Access Review
I feel like I may be putting out a review for this game too early, but I'm really baffled from the general reaction I've seen towards this early access release of the long awaited sequel to 'No More Room In Hell'.

Is this game's overall formula different from NMRIH 1? Sure. But I'd be lying through my teeth to sit here and say that it doesn't have its own really cool identity, and taps into a non-PVP vein of extraction shooters that I've personally been waiting to see explored. The game truly feels like an apocalypse, and the social comradery between you and other players within proximity chat significantly enhance that fantasy. Just because this isn't a 1:1 carbon copy of a 13-year-old game doesn't mean it should be entirely disregarded and written off.

If you're on the fence about buying this game due to lack of polish in terms of performance, bugs and the like--by all means that's understandable. Do I wish the game was in a tighter state before early access? Sure. But that's exactly WHY testing periods like this are so important for combating that, and acting like Torn Banner have even remotely advertised this game as a FULL release is borderline brain illness.

On the other hand, if you're just unsure if the gameplay loop is your cup of tea--I would wholesomely recommend watching some longplays or streams instead of reading knee-jerk reactionary takes like Steam reviews to better understand if the game is for you.

While this game is still undoubtedly an artistic triumph, I unfortunately just don't think the gameplay/control scheme has aged as well as I'd like to admit. And I feel much less crazy saying that considering JSR Future aged like a FINE wine....please port it Sega....

Genuinely one of the best hero shooters next to Team Fortress 2, this game tickles my brain in a way few recent FPS games have. The art direction and audio presentation are top notch--the larger than life game show/sports arena vibe REALLY helps elevate the stakes. Certain playstyles can be over-tuned, but there's no doubt that the Insane flexibility in builds, destruction, odds, and the like help keep this game fresh.

Don't be discouraged by people saying it's a "dead game" because it doesn't have more concurrent players than CS.

Can you reach the finals?

Would be a fairly decent collectathon-style open-world action effort from Tango at best--but because of how neglectful the PC optimization has been handled, I cannot honestly recommend this game. Horrible mouse input, shoddy framerate inconsistencies (even on an above-average rig), and a lack of any type of "field-of-view" adjustment should not be the standard for a AAA game in 2022.

Pair that with Ghostwire's stiff character mobility and you've got yourself motion sickness roller-coaster of a game--without the fun, and ALL the puke.
