Hello there!

Well folks, DA2 and DAI have finally been added to Steam, and with a 75% off sale! Mooosssst delicious. I put several hundred hours on my Origin copies of these games, now for STEEAM!!!

Steam's had DAO for many a year, been waiting and waiting for this glorious day! You can bet your sweet booty that I absolutely adore this game series, and this game, DAI, is the pinnacle of the series thus far! (DA4 better be amazing dammit)

If you've played DA Origins and paid any attention to your surroundings, you'll of noticed how rich the game is, and gained quite a bit of knowledge/lore in the DA universe, but still be quite left in the dark. For example, Qunari, The Fade, Eluvians, Deities, and so much more. We sure read a whole lot of Codex entry snippets, even more if you count DA2, but in DA3 you get to experience SO MUCH of what you read all those years ago.
I honestly found this game to be quite lore-gasmic and nerd-gasmic. DAI's plot is similar to WoW's Legion expansion in degree of "OMG ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WTF IS GOING ON DUDE WE'RE ALL GONNA DIE BUT HOLY ♥♥♥♥ AM I LOVING IT"

The game's plot, without giving spoilers, is amazingggg, as mentioned, quite nerd-gasmic.
Everything (DA1/DA2/DA3) ties in together. If you intend to play, start at the first game, play the POOP out of it, then move on to the second, rinse & repeat, THEN FINALLY get to this game. It truly makes playing this third installment, that much better, more orgasmic, more fulfilling and -oh- so satisfying.

Visuals for DAI are quite simply amazing, it released in 2014, but still looks quite good in 2020 standards. Everything is just so beautiful, from the armor, weapons, faces and scenery, AND you can quite easily install Reshade, pop in a Photorealistic configuration and BAM! Suddenly the game looks even MORE AMAZINGGG.
Feel free to check out my screenshots, I upload comparison pics showing Reshade OFF/ON, it's really quite amazing. Once I found Reshade, I started installing it on ALL of my games, now THEY ALL LOOK SOOOOO MUCH BETTER! AAHHHGGG!! Highly recommend you try Reshade today!..... I should be paid for this advertising.

Gameplay such as movement/combat etc are quite fluid. Much like DA2's combat, only further improved. Every class has great booty kicking potential, with their prestige classes giving a nice OOMPH.
If you enjoyed being an Arcane Warrior in DAO, were sad it was gone in DA2, then REJOICE! For now you can be a KNIGHT-ENCHANTER! An interesting take on the AW spec.

Overall I rate this game 9.9/10 *Highly recommend this, and the entire DA series to all gamers*

UPDATE: Woohoo 420 hours on Dark Souls Remastered! 420 GLAZE IT!! Been thoroughly enjoying this game on coop with friends. Highly recommend everyone grab the game!

First of all, the reason you're seeing so many negative reviews is that Bandai Namco in their infinite wisdom decided to release what was essentially a bugfix update as a separate $40 game.

The owners of the old PC port were given 50% off discount coupons but $25 was still way too much for the improvements that were already mostly available through fan fixes and mods. This essentially split the player base in two as both versions of the game have separate online. To be fair, the old PC port, Prepare To Die Edition, was extremely low effort. It was locked at the internal resolution of 1024x720 (same as on the PS3 and 360), only 30 fps, very poor keyboard & mouse support, no anti-cheat system of any kind.

The improvements in Dark Souls: Remastered include:
- Any resolution support, 1080p, 4K etc.
- 60 fps (locked and tied to game speed).
- Full keyboard & mouse support including button prompts.
- A more advanced soft lighting system.
- A more advanced particle system (dust, fire, fog etc effects).
- Optimized for multi-core systems, so no random lag spikes like in the original.
- Full HD UI/HUD, including HUD scaling (from 60% to 100%).
- The worst of the textures have been redrawn at higher resolutions.
- A better matchmaking system that checks for gear not just level.
- A rigorous anti-cheat system.
- Some bug fixes, e.g. the "dead angle" exploit in PvP.
- Various quality of life improvements, e.g. being able to change covenants at bonfires, use multiple consumables all at once, an extra bonfire in a certain area etc.

The old PC port was de-listed and you can't buy it anymore (unless you look for scalpers that sell the remaining keys for $100+). Not that there's any reason to, Remastered is where it's at.

Now about the game itself. It's the OG Dark Souls. You're probably thinking, is it hard? Both yes and no. The difficulty mostly comes from the game having absolutely no hand-holding.
The world is designed metroidvania style, but there's no map.
The game has a plethora of possible character builds and gameplay mechanics, but nobody will tell you what is safe to invest in.
You might spread your points too thin and end up with a worthless build that will make the game much harder than it needs to be. Or you might accidentally kill (or fail to save) an important NPC and end up missing out on a powerful weapon/spell/upgrade. Even if you realize you messed up it might be too late because there's only one save slot per character, so every decision is final and permanent.
There's minimal dialog and the "tutorial" is just explaining what each button does.

In my opinion, these design choices were made to create a sense of community. You're supposed to learn from other players how to progress though the game. At bare minimum, read up on the basic builds, such as STR, DEX and "quality" (combined STR/DEX) builds.
Feel free to spice up your build with some magic, but don't go for a pure caster, they require meta knowledge to be viable.

Be patient, don't fight more than one opponent at a time, block their attacks with your shield and wait for openings.

The game rewards a careful approach. If an area is proving to be too hard, then try going elsewhere. Or stick with it, there's often a good reward for tackling a difficult location early on.

As long as your build is sound and you're not playing too recklessly you shouldn't have too hard of a time with the game.
I played a typical STR 27/DEX 40 quality build with sword and board and beat all bosses with only a few retries, and some of them (especially mid-game) I took out on my first try.

Keep your encumbrance under 25% (or at least 50%) load and you will move much faster and be able to circle strafe around the bosses and get a lot of easy hits in during their attack animations.

Overall, I highly recommend you grab DS:R if you enjoyed the first, or are looking to get your feet wet, the improvements are worth it.

This game is fantastic! I absolutely adore it. In my opinion it's just as good as the first game, if not better, in many aspects.
The other campaigns/expansions are also very good.

I find myself returning to BG1/BG2 for its excellent replay-ability and general excellent quality. Time for another playthru!
Perhaps this time I'll make a Tom Bombadill character... "Hey dol, merry dol. ring a dong dillo! Tom's going home again water-lilies bringing.
Hey! Come derry dol! Can you hear me singing? Come derry dol! Hop along, my hearties!
Hobbits! Ponies all! We are fond of parties.
Now let the fun begin! Let us sing together!"......Sorry sometimes I break out into song.

Baldurs Gate II is an excellent Dungeons n Dragons type game that set the standard back in the day. DnD made video game, and done damn well.
The plot and characters are interesting and neat *Bender takes a picture*.
The writing is hilarious. Plus there's plenty of other cool things for you to discover, like secrets and hidden treasure across the world.

There's tons of different classes and kits, you can dual class or multiclass to make just about any kind of character you want.
BGII also brings massive improvements to the playable classes/kits, compared to BGI some kits were quite under-powered in more ways than one. BGII has done quite the good job in fixing and improving upon what was already a standard-setting game.

I rate this game 10/10 & highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a great RPG, roleplaying, brainstorming and testing character builds, exploring a vast world with secrets you can easily miss, or perhaps discover.

This game is pretty damn amazing.
I love it, and am glad I waited until now to play it; there's plenty of new content and fixes since the game first released. I expected it would be poopy at launch, and it was. I learned my lesson from No Man's Sky fiasco. The wait was worth it, now the game is definitely worth playing!

The "Season" system has just been implemented, meaning there's a SCORE rank system of 100 ranks/levels you can progress, with varying rewards, and public groups of 6 diff types with diff bonuses, my fave being event groups for sweet 100% exp bonus.

Gameplay is pretty much like fallout 4 with some tweaks.

YOU CAN PLAY THIS WITH YOUR FRIENDS BRO! I ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love that I can finally play a fallout game with my friends.

Highly recommend the game to anyone who likes Fallout, and good RPG's in general.

The game is fantastic, I have no complaints with gameplay.

My only issue is that my account received an unjust false-positive ban from their broken and absurd anti cheat system. In the middle of playing I was just banned for no particular reason. Attempts to resolve the issue have been entirely ignored by Steam.
It's a shame, I paid full price for the game, and very much enjoyed playing it with friends.

Buyer Beware.

It's Skyrim with improved aesthetics, and most importantly; a 64bit game engine. This will massively help with the memory issue that plagued the original Skyrim.

I've played 600+ hours on the original, and intend to do so with SE.

Highly recommend it!

When I first saw this collection ages back, I knew I'd be playing the crap out of this with my friends. Once more we can play together, just like old times. My best friends and I played sooo much Console Halo, and we're now doing PC Halo!

Combat wise....it's halo.
It's all Halo.

The coop is great, YOU CAN HAVE UP TO 16 PEOPLE IN A COOP GAME! WOOOAHHHHHHHHHHHHH

This game is fantastic!

A creative person's wet dream.
You can build your environment, then destroy it with your built vehicles!

Lots of possibilities, your only limit is your imagination!

And game engine/hardware limits.
Even with my beastly computer, having too many braces/suspensions can be quite taxing on the CPU, though you could workaround by having it use your GPU instead, it helped me a bit, not as much as I'd like considering my monster computer rig. But don't let that stop you, I just like to build crazy, huge maps with huge vehicles :P

The game is solo or multi. Solo teaches you how to build, it's fun and challenging.

Online multiplayer is great because you can build with your friends and do some hilarious things!

I honestly fell in love with this game within the first hour, it's pretty awesome.

It was also gifted to me by someone dearly beloved, now departed, which makes the game that much more special to me.

If you're looking for something you can create/destroy, this is worth checking out.

Been playing this game off and on for years, it's only improved and gotten more enjoyable.

There's two types of missions, Stealth and Loud. The game starts easy, pretty quick to pick up how to play each, progressively getting more difficult.

Action is smooth, don't think I've ever seen any real game breaking bugs or anything really.

Customisation options galore:
-Character builds can be solid spec or diverse, anything can potentially work if you build it right. They've made nice improvements to the specs, and there is also perk decks for even more useful stuff, synergize as much as you can imagine it.
-I love that there are lots of characters to play as, my fave being a DLC character, the youtuber H3H3 Ethan. It's sooo ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ funny seeing Ethan ( and his wife Hila ) in Payday 2, he's got hilarious unique items like a GIANT BEANIE HAT, and the ruler melee weapon from one of his videos. *There's TONS of other cool characters like Scarface and John Wick*
-Armor: There are several types of armor, and now we can give them custom skins, AND even replace their appearance with another outfit entirely. My fave outfit is the striped suit, reminds me of Beetleguise!!! I can hear the music now...
-Weapons, you can add a skin, and several types of mods; barrel ext, ammo type, mag size, sights, lasers, etc. My fave melee weapons are the Electric Brass Knuckles, I can run around tazing anyone except for Dozers, it works well as a Mastermind, I can punch taze them, then intimidate+ convert them onto my side. Or works just to stun a lot of hostile boyos as u run by them.
-I love that we can have custom colored lasers.

The AI isn't tooooooo terrible either. If you are soloing, you get 3 AI that you can customise in your crew settings. I gave my crew matching H3H3 giant beanie hats, and LMG's, as well as each getting a unique ability, like shout-ressing.

I highly recommend this game to anyone looking action, a challenge, and a good team based game.
