Let me first start with this: I only post this review because The Last Of Us really is important to me and it makes me angry and sad that they somehow released this great game in this absolute horrendous state.
I played it first when it released on PS3, then I bought the remaster on PS4 and now I bought it on PC. With the state it is now, I cannot recommend it to anyone that wants to have smooth gameplay or a stable framerate.

Usually I really want to have smooth gameplay but I forced myself to play the game and even had some fun. But every time there is an update or files are corrupted (which happened two times for me for no reason at all) you have to build shaders all over again, for almost an hour, if not even longer.
There is almost constant stuttering and no matter on which settings or even resolution I tried playing, this game was just a hot pile of garbage performance wise. Extreme framedrops from 50fps to 30~ish out of nowhere, most of the time I had around 40-45 FPS when playing.

Once they fix up the broken performance of this game, I will change my review to a positive one, but not in this state. Please Naughty Dog, don't partner up with Iron Galaxy anymore. They already brought a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ PC port of Batman Arkham Knight and Uncharted to steam and I am pretty sure they don't give two cents about their clientele, as we can see by the aformentioned already bad ports on PC.

This is my first review for a game.
I have played many games in my life and especially the soulsgames shaped my taste for games.
Elden Ring is by far my favorite game i've ever played and after countless hours i still have a great sense of exploration and find a lot of things that i missed in recent playthroughs.
This game has it all:
An open world, that is greatly designed. It's vast but you don't feel like it's empty. In every nook and cranny you can find dungeons, unique encounters and you never know what loot you will be getting. A VERY big variety of enemies and bosses. Insane amounts of build options, you can basically mold your character how you want and make it viable. Well written and thought out NPC Questlines, no one is placed in like a decoy and feels shallow. Every NPC has it's place and purpose and many times over i have fallen in love with the Design- , Quest- and Worldbuilding in this game.

Even if I love Elden Ring with all my heart, it still has it's issues:
First, the stuttering. I have a good system that runs 95% of games on max settings today, still i often have microstuttering and framedrops in this game. With every patch it gets better, I hope some day i can play this game in all it's glory without stuttering.
Second, the Balancing. You have a small learning slope for the first part of the game and suddenly, around midgame, every boss 2 shots you with some attacks coming seemingly out of nowhere. I have also noticed this in PVP. Everybody is using broken weapons like Moonveil or Rivers of Blood. I think after some balancing here and there it is a polished gem, where everyone can enjoy pvp or bosses without being nuked out of the orbit.
Third, The connection errors. In 4 out of 5 attempts to play online you can play without any Problems, the fifth time is a connection error. I hope the servers will get more stable with time and seemingly FromSoft is already looking into matters.

All in all this is a 9/10 game for me. Would recommend it to everyone who likes the soulsborne games and people who want to try a good Action RPG with amazing Story, Lore and Worldbuilding, while also having a challenge.
