I got sword with sauce a little under a decade ago. I thought the game was a lot of fun, and I had such high hopes for its early access. But then development canceled, and sword with sauce sat in my library as "that one game that could've been great." I would occasionally play it, but it was always missing that pizzazz, and there was no hopes of ever getting an update.

And then I found out about diatomic, and I couldn't be happier. This game improved everything about sword with sauce. The combat is more dynamic and fluid. To best illustrate the difference, in Sws, it was hard to create a "cool moment". but in Diatomic, even the simplest combat feels awesome. This game holds a candle to games like ULTRAKILL, while maintaining its own identity.

Edit: It hasn't even been a week and the developer has fixed all the major issues people have brought up in reviews. Not even many AAA games have this level of turn around nowadays.
