I've played a number of Idler/Clicker games. I think this one is my favourite because it's light on clicking and idling. They are very much a part of the game, but you need to think about what you're doing to get the best result. There is also scope to play mindlessly and just go for small incremental improvements. It would be great to add some more content as there is quite a long middle phase where you aren't unlocking much, mostly grinding, but it's still fun and it's still well worth the price.

Just in case anyone is having a look at this in 2024 or later, I'd advise skipping it, primary for the inconsistency with the physics (rebound angles) that other people have mentioned. You can probably get through the first three or four areas without this being too offensive, but the further on you go, the harder that game is and therefore precision moves from important to crucial. I'm in the last are of the game and I don't know if I can bring myself to finish it. It's a shame, because it is a fun Arkanoid-inspired game, but for a game to become increasingly un-fun as you go due to poor execution means you're better off not starting down the path.

Just in case you're looking at this game and considering purchasing (not sure why you would consider purchasing a game that's 8 years past release and has Mixed reviews), I would like to suggest that you don't. I was trowling through my Steam Library and came across this long forgotten title. I foolishly thought "Why not?" Having played it, I know why not. It's buggy but not unplayable. It's not really hard or easy. But it most certainly isn't fun. It's just tedious. I love tower defense games, but this one is not worth your time.

Who ever thought gambling could be addictive? Thankfully, no life savings lost here. Just your fictional residence. This game is a very simple combination of a slot machine that becomes increasingly complex, mixed with certain RPG elements. The random nature of the game means that (if you enjoy the basic game loop) you can easily invest dozens of hours looking for new synergies and combos to push your score higher and higher. So simple, yet so satisfying.

I think the idea behind this game is solid, but it's not well executed and as a result, it isn't much fun to play. I don't like using controllers most of the time, so I'm using keyboard/mouse but it's too clunky to persist. Also, there doesn't seem to be any graphical control apart from full screen or window. Unfortunately, I can not recommend spending time on this game.

This game is amazing! How can a game with such simple concepts and next to no story line be so engaging? It does it by taking a great idea (Dwarves in space), technology (guns), humour and diligent developers and puts them all together. This is one of the few games I have bought in early access that has exceeded my expectations. Having played over 150 hours, I still feel I haven't done everything yet. That is in part because the developers are still adding new things to the game. If you have a few friends that you game with regularly, I recommend you get this game. It is great value for money, even at full price.

The basic gameplay for Dead Man's Draw is very entertaining. It is quite simple to learn and there a lots of different combination that you can use if you include the traits you take into each round. Like most card games, it has an element of luck involved. The problem is, luck is the main feature. I have found myself losing games I should have won and winning games I should have lost all because of luck. It happens far too often and over time, gives the impression that any skill you have is very much secondary. After a couple of hours, it was not particularly fun. Now that I've reached 10 hours, I've decided not to play this again unless I really feel like it. Achievements are too much of a grind.

Why review this game in 2020? Because I found it in my Steam library and decided to give it a go and wanted to have some notes in Steam to reference if I looked at it again and couldn't remember what it was like.

I only really spent 30 - 45 mins playing before deciding that it wasn't worth my time. I don't think it is a terrible game, but there are too many things about it that I found annoying. The biggest problem is the combat is not very engaging. Given that is the main part of the gameplay, this is quite a big issue. There is not enough feedback on what damage is being done by your units or your spells. You basically rely on who is dying fastest to work out how the combat is going. Other reviewers have done a very good job on summarising other problems if you need more info on problems with the game.

I know my playing time may seem too little to make down vote it, but I think it is hard to justify spending time learning this game given that it is not a fun or easy experience (couldn't find a manual online or a guide of any sort). I totally understand someone enjoying this game now if they played it when it first game out, but I don't think it's much fun for anyone else.

I haven't finished the game yet, but I can definitely recommend this for anyone looking for a slightly different take on ARPG. The combat style is a bit slower than the average ARPG, which lends itself to being more strategic, however I have found that you can still do quite well relying mostly on a couple of skills/items. The loot system/decl-building is interesting and quite fun, which helps to keep your interest even though it feels like a bit of a grind at time. The option to choose the length of a given level is pretty cool too if you're short of time but still want to make some progress. I'm interested to see what's next for Thing Trunk.

This is a great little game. It is short but given the price, that's not an issue. Just enough to the gameplay to be fun for an hour or two. No grinding that usually comes with these games, so I recommend it as quick break from a tough day or from more serious gaming.
