Fell off of the Battlefield games after BF4. This is a breath of fresh air and something that can finally give me my fix instead of the disappointments Battlefield devs has been offering.

Cant believe id be writing a review for a game like this, never played a cooking game before PlateUp! For context on me I have a family and a full time job. Somehow I have managed to play 15 hours of this damn game in 2 and a half days. I Am horrible at it, I haven't even gotten to round 15 of a single game, But i am hooked on this game more than I have been on any game in a very long time. I've been avoiding discord friends, bodily functions, and family all to make salads for tables of two on a dinner in an affordable diner. 8/10 only because i know it will get further additions to the game and will be even better. If this game wins GOTY i will applaud because it makes no sense how damn good this game is.

This is my first game in terms of the Xcom style turn based tactics. I now am hooked and am sure ill be getting into this genre after this. I became attached to my little mutants and was sad when i finished the game, but i am very pleased with the outcome of the story.

• Story 7/10; The story was not complicated, very linear but goes just fine with the game.
  
• Level design 8/10; Every single map i was able to explore and figure out my preferred way to handle the situation.
  
• Graphics 10/10; Everything maxed out including resolution scaling made this game eye candy compared to other post apocalyptic set games. BEAUTIFUL.
  
• Gameplay 7/10; This being my first Turn based tactics game i had no issue with understanding the mechanics of the game and it was very easy to "master" them. Also seemingly endless ways to go through each independent area. The only way to improve would have required more content.
  
• Character design 10/10; I quickly became attached to the wily comments made by Dux and the big brother role Bormin played. They were easlily some of my favorite game characters ive had the pleasure of playing.
  
• Overall 8/10; I Would recommend this game to anybody with any interest in the turn based gameplay. it was a true gem and i wish i could erase my memory and do it over again. THANK YOU BEARDED LADYS CONSULTING FOR CREATING THIS GAME. YOU HAVE A CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!

With a bit of work this game will become a great time dump.
