Throne and Liberty: A Disappointment in Every Way

I had high hopes for Throne and Liberty, but it turns out my excitement was misplaced. This game is a perfect example of how to mishandle a release, and I can't help but feel let down by its glaring flaws.

First off, the gameplay hours feel like a slog. It’s almost as if the developers wanted to stretch out the experience to keep players grinding, but instead, it just feels tedious. No one wants to spend hours doing the same mind-numbing tasks, especially when the rewards don’t justify the effort.

Then there’s the crafting system. I’ve played games with complex and rewarding crafting mechanics, but this one? It’s a mess. Resources are scarce, the recipes are confusing, and the end products are underwhelming. Instead of feeling accomplished after creating something, you’re left wondering why you even bothered.

The most egregious issue, though, is the blatant pay-to-win model. It’s a slap in the face to players who expect a fair playing field. The lack of a player-based market means that unless you’re willing to shell out real money, you’ll always be at a disadvantage. This feels less like a game and more like a cash grab, and it’s incredibly frustrating.

To make matters worse, it seems the developers have completely turned a deaf ear to the community now that they’ve made their money back. Any hope for meaningful updates or improvements feels like a distant dream. They’ve locked in their profits and left players in the dust.

Overall, Throne and Liberty is a disappointment on almost every front. If you’re looking for an engaging, player-focused experience, look elsewhere. Save your time and money—this game simply isn’t worth it.

Early Access Review
4.6 hrs is what is logged on steam. 4 hrs crashing and .6hrs in game from that .6 hrs i can tell you that the graphics are better and the water does look good ill give them that. the Dinos look nothing like they are supposed to. They took an already terrible AI and managed to make it worse (that took skill) Base building is probably the same couldn't tell you every time you craft it crashes. This dumpster fire must be geared to the people running dual 4090s to get that nice 60fps on 1080p. they took Ark from Microsoft paint pasted into Adobe Highlights deleted half the config and sent it out. it may get better (probably not) but at this moment save your money honestly not sure how its mixed review and not completely negative... guess when rip enough people off you can pad peoples bank accounts to write good reviews from the extra earnings...
