Despite its MANY flaws when it comes to playing with a controller, i found this game quite nostalgic. the graphics wasnt too bad, but that comes from a guy raised on similar graphics and alot worse, the story was pretty good imo with a few plot holes.

As a 2005 game im fairly certain this is probably the game that introduced "your decisions are important for the story" thing, i think they pulled this game off and im surprised this wasnt alot bigger when it came out.

Overall, when i stopped trying to play with a controller, it was impossible for me, and started playing with keyboard and mouse, i truly found this game quite enjoyable despite the MANY painstaking QTE's, i liked the humor, the story drew me in, and each of the main characters were enjoyable to me in their own ways. Pretty good game to me, i give it an 7.5/10

In CS2 the report system/anti cheat is pretty much non existent, smurfs still exist and they ruin matchmaking and the ranking system. If i am 6k rank, and i meet 4k rank, logically they should not have skills worthy of like 7-10k right? the amount of flicks and one taps they can do is not bad enough to be such a low rank.

Either they have wh or soft aimlock nearly every single game, or most people in low ranks are smurfs. Like why did valve remove the overwatch feature so players could catch cheaters aswell since clearly the reporting system is not even functional, also why have no more interaction with the community regarding bans? before when i reported people i got a message days later saying "thanks for helping us making the game better" or whatever it said.

This game is actually dying, ive not met a single player outside of russians, most are trollers and smurfs. cs2 killed this game more. being a smurf needs to be a bannable offence, cause if i play just about as good as the enemy but still lose i should not loose much mmr because of my team that doest maybe half my dmg combined, being literally dragged down ranks.

would it be bad to add like a "how good was this player" and you can give a 1-10 scale so like 7/10, matches with like 6-8/10s, and those that gets 10/10 or 1/10 spammed gets reviewed to see if its a valid rating. idk but the ranking system just feels broken to continue on like this.

Edit: this is such a ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ game, played with a troll that left mid game, then another one just stood afk all game moved a little, held bomb, and only way to get it off him would be to kill him since if he held it in his hands it dosnt drop, like at all, we played an entire round protecting him, i tried killing him and got a ban right away since he got the bomb nearly every game, most likely lost 1000mmr. what a ♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ system you created valve, honestly stop making games, how could you screw up one of the most iconic games of all time so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ hard. 3v5 with the 4th afk with bomb and wanna know the funniest part, HE WONT EVEN GET BANNED.

When it came out i wouldve said yes, but now no, they've yet to balanced the entire gameplay out, i.e if you have the cashout at 1/4th LEFT and it gets taken by a bunch of meta, broken op weapon noobs, and you get teamwiped, you dont have enough time to even get there, or even take it back.

theres not even a overtime on trying to take the cashout, what i mean with that is if purple has the cash out and its 4 seconds left till its cashed out, and i (blue) attempt to take it which takes 10 seconds to take over, i dont have enough time since i need 6 more seconds to be able to take it over from purple, an overtime would make it so i was allowed to either take over or attempt to before it gets cashed out, if i die or release the take over then they get it.

its been a thing even popular streamers have mentioned and if this game only nerfs some builds and weapons but then makes other things op then were just stuck in the same spot making the game boring unbalanced and just frusturating to play. its been a problem since early early-access.

i mean its free so theres no harm in trying it, but its not really that great, i mean normal team deathmatch game, it had kinda decent graphics, but for some reason it still lagged on my computer and i play other games that demands more with way better performance. controls sucked if im being honest, very clunky, apparently it has like 20 operators (characters) per class, of which there are 4. way to many operators that can do way different stuff. it kinda wants to be a cheap rainbow six siege/call of duty knockoff or something and it dosnt appeal to me in the slightest. i had high hopes seeing like 8-9k people recommended this, but its very unpolished, and just a knock off.

i sortof recommend it, on a sale, its worth at most 15 euro.

the story had AMAZING potential, but fell of hard due to the bad execution. i mean first of all, anyone thats a first timer had no connection to neither regis or insomnia/crown city and cared not if either was destroyed. apparently there wasnt even supposed to be a scene of it and what you saw at galdin quay was a scene from the movie that flopped. the friends, i mean they didnt even execute that really well, very few caring moments. the only ones are from the main mission scenes and that one prompto confession he didnt believe in himself or something, and the main mission scenes are really lacking. honestly.

the only great things about this game is combat, potential, creature designs and stunning visuals/locations. anything story related was pretty bad. i mean ignis, i havnt seen any connection to him yet. im all for the late night or dawn story times like with prompto i mentioned, but when its so rare to get them, you get no connection. also how the frick did noctis become mature, i mean was he in that crystal for 10 years and matured instantly or spent 10 years in there conciously? cause he seemed damn surprised. also the english voice acting really aint that great. noctis kinda fit but he sounded so heartless and emotionless, for example with iris, he always was like "*audible disgust*", and i understood non of that. idk maybe while do some more stuff it will be better. but if you cant even tell the story between the characters and the main story then why even have a story, it was the same with morbius movie. potential but messed it up. messy af. only worth cause of the rpg aspect and visuals. also lack of modding support. mods overlap and change skins on weapons they shouldt even do anything to. why does it seem only people with actual critique to this game has comments enabled?

the main story isnt too difficult but if you want puzzle and difficulty, do the advanced and bonus maps. amazing ending 10/10 song tho.

So much to do, difficulties are very accurate. MASSIVE mods in tModLoader, aswell as ALOT of them. one of the few masterpieces in gaming history. perfect with friends and despite being 2d and size is limited, what you can do is practically limitless.

Amazing visuals, 10/10 in its own way of design, truly beautiful.

The music/soundtrack chosen for this is just as amazing as its visuals, really sells the whole "fantasy world in ruins" aswell as its "paradise" sounding music. Very few games has perfect audio, while ambiance can sometimes be lacking, but when it dosnt, its astonishing.

The story seems intriguing and mysterious, dragged me in very quickly.

Parkour and running can be tedious, mostly because of the amounts of enemies and traps, but when you get the hang of it feels so great.

Abilities are cool and you get some abilities that will make playing so much fun, even despite the annoyance of the countless enemies shooting you at once.

Combat, well outside of abilities, which is apart of combat normally, the main attack of Ori is just an orb shooting guided shots. Its nothing really special, but thank god for that, if you needed to think about where and how to shoot then it would be so much harder.

Difficulty, im the type of gamer that usually plays on hard as a normal difficulty, i feel like the difficulty im playing on certainly feels like im playing on hard.

Achievements wont be easy to finish, theres an achievement where you need to play on the hardest difficulty (one life), and finish the game, this difficulty is especially hard since it basically makes you start over FROM. THE. START. Progress lost, time sortof wasted.

For those of you that likes this genre of games, 2D story adventure games, GET IT. For those of you that dont really 'love' it, still get it, im not all that into 2D games like this, but so far im loving it, despite the anger from the traps.

10/10 honestly, in its own genre and type of game, its so far peak of these types of game that ive played.

It's truly rare for me to be as invested in a game as i was in this, it's been quite a while.

So far, i've only played for like 2 hours, and as soon as i was able, FREEROAM, i spent like 2 hours only freeroaming in the starting CORNER of the FIRST MAP. That means i spent 2 hours exploring, fighting, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ about in a tiny ass corner of a tiny ass map on a map with SEVERAL locations.

I played the first 'Middle-Earth' game, it was cool, especially for the genre, being able to amass your own army, even sort of leading them into battle, you corrupted the enemys army, making it your own. You could get your own army and the enemy, to level up. Make a random weakling warrior into the strongest warchief. That game was very innovative and VERY cool for the type of game they made. The stuff ive heard you could do in this game is even more amazing. In the first game, the story was sortof meh i guess, for story it was just very short cut scenes but a nice and cool alternate (non canon) version of the story of sauron and his conquest of mordor and the world, with you being the only defender strong enough to actually stand against him.

Back to the topic at hand.
If the story will resemble the first game (Shadow of Mordor/SoM), then i cant say the STORY of this game (Shadow of War/SoW) will be all that interesting but the freeroam and possibilties will be worth it alone. especially for how INSANELY cheap this is.

Combat, personally its PHENOMENAL, its like Batman Arkham game series, with more stuff added in. You can look so cool actually fighting which in games like this is very rare im sure.

Not to much music or soundtrack which is damn sad, but just play some "the shire" music while mowing down Uruks/Orcs, Graugs/Trolls and Drakes, better yet, put on some "Isengard Legolas edition" to make it even more enjoyable.

RPG aspect is cool, to gain stuff you need to kill captains/warchiefs for gear which also changes your looks, there are different tiers of armor that all does different things, you can even do challenges for each gear piece making it stronger adding more attributes or stats to it. You need to defeat some special Uruks to gain runes, basically just some rare stuff you add on weapons or armor making it stronger, like lifesteal or more money dropped etc, which you can upgrade to stronger versions of the runes. its rare rpg games makes good and balanced rpg aspect, cyberpunk dropped stuff WAYY to much when i last played and it was overwhelming, here it feels like an achievement. Basically every RPG aspect of SoW is new, in SoM you could only gain normal runes or legendary runes, increasing the rune lvl depending how high the uruks level was when you killed it.

Personally, anyone that likes Lord of the rings/Tolkiens books, this is a must for you, the first one isnt much needed compared to this but its a nice intro to the story. It's also a must for anyone that likes the Batman Arkham games, aswell as anyone that likes fantasy, rpg, open world game.

Truly one of the most amazing games ive played in a while, and ive only played two hours so far.

Its interesting, complex, could be fun eventually when you learn it. but its not worth the price needed to make this game (apparently from what others said) playable, you NEED to buy dlcs to make it good, or at best decent, and said dlcs could easily tally up to over 50 bucks. its outrageous and makes very few but apparently important changes (which ive read already was part of the base game but removed and made into dlcs to gain money), im surprised if anyone ever will trust this greedy company after this. i however wont support this insane company with the insane prices for dlcs that makes minimalistic changes that are needed, and i implore you wont aswell.
