Is this game fun? Yes. Is it fun to play without any DLC? No. Is it even playable without DLC? No.
This means that you need to pay hundreds of euros to actually enjoy this game. Or you can pay a subscription fee. This game is not worth hundreds of euros. You can get games that are equally fun, and also far more stable from more reputable companies. Their business model is to release an unfinished game and then demand money from the user, if not you can't play on any new updates as most features are locked behind the new mandatory DLC. Not just fun additions but also core mechanics such as development or in the case of Majapahit events that make you able to play the game. They don't care about the users either, as none of their DLC, and mind you, you will have to pay for this DLC to even play the game, actually works.
They are a large company, they have the rescources to actually play test the game, yet they choose not to. Play Civ or some Total War game if you must, but don't fall for this scam. It's fun when it works, which is in itself a rarity, but it's not worth the money.
