This was my favourite Zork game as a kid and put a smile on my face the whole way through playing it again. The asset resolution is a bit rough to view now. Some areas required backtracking and mousing around the screen as it can be easy to miss additional direction arrows with the speed of the camera panning. Love the challenge of figuring out how to progress without much hints as was a feature of these old Zork games. Anytime I felt stuck i'd come back to play fresh and solve/find what was needed. And of course all the humorous ways in which you will die are all part of the charm and content. Save often!

One of the last big-budget, large-scale RTS games from the 2000s and easily one of the best IMHO. Still updated and kept alive today by excellent community enhancements like LOUD Project and Forged Alliance Forever. I've spent thousands of hours playing co-op against A.I. and humans in massive battles, and it never gets old!

Very enjoyable gameplay. The array of enemies and methods of killing or disabling their abilities with a full spectrum of upgraded weapons and skills gives the combat a lot of legs. It's definitely the highlight along with the beautiful and varying environments.
The main story and theme is excellent although I found the voiced characters mostly dull and annoying - with a few exceptions. The majority of the side missions are forgetful but necessary for upgrades. For me, still worthwhile going through most of them to max out the stats and eventually breeze through the toughest enemies.

An easy 80+ hours in this game and highly recommended for fans of the genre.

Excellent sci-fi, Bioshock-in-space shooter, with a few flaws. Even in 2021, I got the game breaking 'Talia Brooks bug' which I initially thought nothing of - just an odd glitch - but later discovered, required modifying the save file just to continue the game more than 2/3rds in! Really... unacceptable. The voice mixing also is often odd, coming from my surround speakers when the people are standing right in front of you.

Otherwise, the level design is exceptional, beautifully integrated, and promotes exploring around (and outside) the station. The recycling/crafting system for upgrades is novel enough to keep it interesting, and viable for extra exploring and farming for the mods you want. Your progression curve from weakling to super human/typhon depends on this and was very satisfying for my playthrough. You *can* acquire enough abilities to try the different methods of completing objectives during a single playthrough.

Recommend this game and I look forward to more of the same from this dev.

Kick-ass shooter. Challenging, rewarding, and replayable with lots of bonuses to unlock that make mission replays and arsenal progression very satisfying. Top to bottom a AAA quality experience.

This one is a must-play for any sci-fi action fan and a worthy entry into the Deus Ex legacy. The graphics were dated even in 2011 when the game launched, but it nailed all the important gameplay mechanics with great stealth, unique weapon and suit upgrade progression, hacking elements, varied enemies and environments, and finally an interesting story with a choice of play style (particularly in the enhanced Director's Cut).

Mankind Divided may have caught your attention by this stage but if you're interested in any Deus Ex, give this one a go first.

9/10

Walking simulator is an apt description for this but it offers pleasing visuals and an immersive soundtrack, making for a short, enjoyable experience.
