I'll comment my full review since for some reason, the dev has decided to put a word limit on reviews for this game. I wish this word limit would have been stated somewhere obvious so I wouldn't have felt like I was wasting my time.

Edit: The dev hasn't put a limit on words. But if you're leaving reviews and nothing is happening, then increment the review into your comments in smaller parts.

Oh man. This is one of those VR games that I see in the Steam store and immediately commit to purchasing for no reason other than to give in to my sheer inevitable fate.

Upon playing, I've discovered that this game is neither impressive nor is it underwhelming. What MineSweeper VR is - is it is what it says it is: Minesweeper, but in VR. Nothing more, nothing less. The game plays exactly as Minesweeper does, and there are no modes or unlockables. Instead, the developers have decided to stay truly classic and limit the game to nothing but the same little puzzle game with no form of spice to it other than the fact that you could change the map difficulty/size. Normally, I would commend the choice to stick to the original, however in this case it sadly feels rather uninspired.
On the plus side, the game will certainly wow you with an unexpected warzone theme. Upon entering the game, you'll be introduced to a beautiful and totally welcome battlefield, and it feels so right. If anything, the visuals of the game alone are enough to merit a recommendation. The models are much higher quality than you'd expect from a four dollar game, and everything feels refined and fresh. I loved it. It made sense, it wowed me, and it was properly executed.
One striking issue though, is a literal pain in the neck - you're looking down the entire time. This is a severe issue because it causes me neck pains and as such is hard for me to play for long amounts of times, and I'm a healthy young adult - imagine for an old geezer like you!

To reiterate, Minesweeper VR
-Beautufully maintains the feel of the original game.
-Adds a clever warzone theme that will wow the heck of you.

But...
-Is a literal pain in the neck.
-Has little variety/replayability.

The game is worth it. Perhaps not in terms of sheer value, but in terms of nifty Library adds to have, this game is priceless. If you've read this review and haven't been detered, then go ahead and toss in your four dollars. Have fun out there, but don't blow it!

Note: I haven't received this product for free but I wrote this review on my buggy phone and cannot change it back until I hit my desktop. If you're reading this, you're a select rare breed of Uranium Pepe that's 1 in 6 million. Share for good luck, ignore if you enjoy vandalizing school property.

Well that game was a pleasant surprise.

This game is reminiscent of old style arcade games, however brought into VR. You have a time limit to shoot as many ducks or objects as you can, and in doing so you get points. The area is full of explosives and other little things that pop up, and it really does add up to make the map feel content-full; this also allows for every run to have a slightly different feeling. You also learn or see something new each time, and this is a fantastic thing to say about an Arcade shooter such as this one. Don't expect this game to reward sharp shooting, though, as there will be so many ducks flying around that the best option really is to just shoot like a maniac. One match of Duckpocalypse is 3 minutes long, if I remember correctly from playing, and that's the perfect amount of time for the game to progress in the pace it intends to. The gameplay itself also feels natural - you will certainly familiarize with the guns within the first 20 seconds of playtime as there is no reload time on them, nor do the gun shots curve due to any form of air phsyics, so it really is just pick up and play.

This game has a thematic feel of a spiritual successor to Duck Hunt, and if that wasn't already completely obvious from the trailer alone, entering the game will demonstrate this in a much more powerful way, and will definitely make your inner-self scream "Holy Crow, I'm INSIDE Duck Hunt!!". I must absolutely commend the theme of this game, as everything somehow blends together perfectly; I just can't understand how an arcade/post-appocalyptic/Duck-Hunt mash-up makes this much sense. The game confidently knows exactly how it wants to look, and the player will appreciate this, as it really does feel refined and intelligently put together. So huge mega thumbs up on the thematic attention, Devs.

There are two things that I must say are a little bit of a let down. The first of which is the replay value. After the first few rounds, it doesn't really feel like there's much of a reason to continue playing. Perhaps some extra environments would go a long way, or even some new modes or weapon unlocks or the like. In that regard, this game is an absolutely beautiful example of quality over quantity. I mean, I have nine minutes of frigging play-time as of this review, and check out all the things I have to say.
The second teeny let down, which didn't really phase me much, is that the physics is advertized even though it holds no value in the game. Sure you can shoot some things in the main room and they'll react in a physics-respecting way, but there are many objects in the lobby that have no physics and simply have the same repeating animation no matter where you shoot them from. What's more, your guns don't physically interact with the things you touch them with, they just phase through. And this wouldn't be an issue; you won't mind this little flaw in the slightest, but the Store Page advertises this, and some may see it as a misleading claim.

If you read this review and this game still interests you, then good news, you SHOULD hit that purchase button. Thanks for reading, and have fun killing ducks out there!

My original review for this game was a Negative - even though I loved the game - as I thought the game was complete. My issue was that the game didn't have enough content for my liking, and despite being a fantastic game, the lack of an "Early Access" label scared me; I wanted more.
Then the in-depth update came in and totally boosted my moral. It proved to me that the devs aren't yet done, and are looking at ways to polish the game and really turn this game into a classic.
I've seen the Dev's work before, and have occasionally chatted with him, and he really does seem to be an inspiringly huge amount into the progression of A Legend of Luca.

The game is fantastic. Sure there are a lil bit of flaws here and there in terms of diversity, replayability, or quality of life, but mark my words those factors will all be improved upon within time. The game is a beaut and I'm happy to be able to give it the thumbs up it deserves.
Buy this awesome game, support the almost as awesome dev, and become part of the game's fanbase.

If you get a Thumbs up from a KingPeuche who originally rated your game a thumbs down, that could only mean you've totally exceeded expectations and know exactly what you need to do to improve your game. Double thumbs up.

At first I didn't know what Artistic Score meant or why it was in the game, but then I played "Every time we Touch" and got this feeling.

10/10 would feel again.

IF YOU ARE A VIVE USER DO NOT GET THIS GAME---

If you are anything else user, MAYBE get this game.--- (Most likely not, though.)

The reason I say that is because the option for "trackpad" in this game is terrible. You basically use the Vive controllers for their buttons, and not for the fact that they can detect movement. To give an example, if you use an Xbox controller instead of a Vive controller, you're not losing anything in the slightest. This is absolutely unacceptable in a game worth 50 dollars. The Vive controllers should at least be able to point and click to interact with the menu, or should at least be used to steer the wheels as if you had a pretend steering wheel in your hands.

Also, there is no form of tutorial at all, which in a game as fast paced as this is just... I mean, a huge demonstration of sloppy and undevoted dev work. You're stuck a lot of times with things appearing on the HUD, and you have just literally no idea what to do about them in the slightest. For Gaben's sake, this is a 50$ game that isn't even in Early Access, what are you guys thinking? These changes need to be implemented as a first priority, because I quite frankly feel ripped off and like I've been slapped in the face.

In a more positive note, the game plays pretty well. It's as if you're playing one of those arcade games you would find in an arcade or at the cinema, only downloaded onto your computer. I would have had a lot more fun with actual Trackpad support implemented, but from what I could tell the game would be a ton of fun for the Oculus with the use of a 360 controller. I don't see it being worth 50$ in terms of sheer value, but it is definitely worth 50$ in terms of basically having an arcade game stashed inside your PC.

Another downside though is, yes, the lack of speed. The only reason it's worth complaining about that is because this game boasts being "the fastest game" there is, which is kind of a misleading claim. If you want to get a good example of how fast paced this game is, think of F-Zero; this game is exactly on par with that game in terms of pace.

I would have had more hours played, but until the Vive trackpad is properly implemented, I don't want to risk losing my potentiality on a refund if the game never ends up delivering.

Fo shame, devs. I see the work you put into this game, but polish your game up before publishing it. Do you want to be compared to EA? Because that's how you get compared to EA.

The game itself is a bit hard to get used to. Sure you can "follow the lights", or whatever, but until you understand the game you're pretty much just foaching around and trying your hardest to find a series of Spiderman-mode enabling trees.

I feel like the desire to feel like Spiderman is intense enough to merit getting some kind of game mode devoted to it.

Anyways, this doesn't feel like a "game". Do not buy Windlands if you're looking for some kind of "full" game experience that you've suspected is present due to the total hours played of all the reviewers. Windlands is more of an experience or a single-player extreme sport, but with a tiny sense of progression and direction. If you like climbing trees or walls in real life, you'll find yourself thinking about those times while messing around in Windlands. If you have the capability to let go of the little things that remind you that you're still actually safe in your room, this game can feel thrilling and perilous at times.

If my review doesn't deter you from Windlands at all, then I've good fantastic news, buddy; you're ready to buy this game!

I don't understand why people are complaining about this software even though it is clearly in beta.
The dev seems like he will be active, and I'm hopeful for it as well. The program itself ran really smoothly for me, and had a very basic and simple start up, as long as you know how to read elementary school english.

The idea is here and fantastic, and I can't wait for it to improve.
Of course the program isn't refined for gaming or even viewing videos yet, but with time and experience on the dev's part that will eventually be fixed.
Recommend this software so that it becomes hyped and known, and the good changes will be coming in faster. The dev certainly already knows exactly what he has to do, so let's just motivate him a lil bit.
Awesome app!

VR Review-----

This software is straight up totally worth the cash. I've been looking for ages for a game - ANY game that I could play through VR with my poor, Vive-less friends. This game delivered the heck out of that. The cross-platform possibilty is fantastic because it allows me to feel like I'm actually sitting at the table while playing with buddies.
I think one of the things that I appreciate most is how this game was originally a non-VR game that has been out for a while. This allowed for the Steam workshop to grow huge and give the game ample amount of content compared to most games on the Vive right now.
If you have a Vive, don't be afraid to buy this. The game feels like it was made with Vive in mind (aside from the terribly low res-backgrounds). There is immense satisfation to playing this game, and it's totally worth the cash.

One thing I would want to see changed is some kind of alternate model for people who don't have a Vive. They can see me and my hands, but for them, all I see is an icon, and it shatters my immersion in the game. If the game could tell when a Vive player is in a server, and gave all non-vive users some kind of model to make their avatars look like other people with Vives, that would make the experience a lot more immersive and amazing.

I'm going to go ahead and say not currently worth the money.
The graphics and such are unique and has its own charming style. Sadly, though, I didn't find the gameplay as awesome as I would have hoped. I didn't feel thrilled playing, I simply briskly move side to side to dodge everything.
Then again, I have a slight bias against wave-based shooters in VR, since there are so many of them right now and none really feel revolutionary.

I have faith in the devs though, and I know the game will be worth my money within a few updates, and even though I disagree with the "recommended" stamp I'm giving this game, I'm going to give it nonetheless so that I can see more attention on this game.
