I personally didn't like this game. Why did I recommend it then? It's bundled with the Vive - in other words, it's free. As a thirty dollar game, I personally would never recommend it.
I found that the humor of the game died down rather quickly into each job. I mean, every time there was something funny happening, I did giggle, but I also got bored pretty quickly.
What I must commend though is the expertise put into this game. Almost every aspect of this game is refined in a way that gives me kind of an optimistic feeling of the future of VR, and for that, I must give a big thank you to the devs.
It's worth noting that this was a game I played maybe a week or so into getting the Vive, meaning I was already used to VR. This is the ONLY reason I have any negative opinions on this game. Everybody else who pops on my headset for the first time and tries this game has the time of their life and quickly adapts to the situation and just "gets it". And this is why the game gets a recommendation, because despite it's boringness to a person with experience, it still does exactly what it intended to do - perfectly.

It's a unique and powerful experience. This application is the perfect way to show any VR newbs an enthralling experience. As a person who is used to the VR by now though, it's not as incredibly breathtaking as all the other reviews make it seem, but my word, it's free so what are you waiting for? You're the one who bought a 1000$ headset, so you might as well see everything free that your headset has to offer.

Once you get past the initial vertigo, the game is actually quite fun to mess around with.
I believe the game itself isn't currently accessible right now, as every time I hit "Play game" it just sends me to the tutorial on repeat.
This isn't much of an issue, however, since the concept of the game is promising and as such, the tutorial is fun on its own. I look forward to the progression of this game.

Get the game, mess around for a few minutes, and wait for updates. That is my current thought process in regards to this game as of the date of this review.

This game is definitely worth the money. The content is quite huge to begin with, and the community actively adds other fantastic items regularly. Modbox is one of the very very very few VR applications right now that feel refined and worthy of shedding its early access title.
It's my go-to VR game for when I can't think of anything to do, and you'll catch me here lost in the virtual reality doing nothing but constructing my ideas for around 30-40 minutes.

I can't realistically not recommend this game. If you like what you see on the store page, then you'll like what you play in game.

A few picky little ways to improve this game would be to have the melee skeleys attack a liiiiiiiittle faster. Admittedly, I two'd in my pants a lil bit at the first skeleton, but when I had the time to actually go drop a two in the bathroom before getting slashed, the intimidation wore off.
Also, here's some even stingier pickiness - it would be awesome for the weapons that you hold to interact with all the environment and not just phase through it. Having my weapons simply go through walls and the likes makes the game feel less realistic than it could be. A fantastic example of what prime enviornment X held item physics should look like in this game could be seen in Modbox.

This game definitely is a step in the right direction. There aren't any other Vive games out there that feel like they will become a classic quite as much as this one does. Buy it, and leave your feedback so that the dev gets a better idea of where to direct this game.
