This game has completely destroyed the Cities Skylines franchise and It's truly sad. Just by looking at the playercounts, both games combined are much less than what CS1 was bringing in on a regular basis. I'm not going to talk about the problems because the devs know, and I'm sure most players already know, Personally I feel like the problems are more deeply rooted into the game itself and won't change. But the fact that a sequel, is not only worse than the previous game made almost 10 years ago, but has also caused the entire franchise as a whole to lose players is simply sad. Hopefully the modders can fix the game and no hate on the devs, they did their best with the little time they had to ship the game out, corporate greed is what caused this. If the game is on sale for 10£ its worth getting, assuming you use mods to fix alot of the game breaking issues, and are ok with a half working simulation and play the game as a city painter, but other than that I definitely do not recommend buying the game yet.

Played a lot on the client over the years and have experienced probably everything to do in the game, from top tier guild ZVZ to top tier PVE. Out of any MMORPG and to be honest any other game, guild ZVZs are one of the most enjoyable things to do, but that being said as a solo player you won't be able to experience that. Being in a large guild and playing with a larger community of players is great, and in general you will see alot of familiar faces if you are playing in that environment so you can easily find people to play with, for a solo player or someone who hasn't played a full loot PVP game before it can be daunting.

My best advice for anyone wanting to get into the game is to try and play with other people and join a guild or community to play with, the game is 10 times better that way, that being said you can still do a lot of solo things, like gathering crafting etc, but you will be missing out on a huge chunk of the game if you isolate yourself like that, and expect to die a lot when you first start playing, its part of the game. Most people quit the game because they are solo players and never get out of that bubble, to be a successful solo player in the game you have to be very good and know a lot, especially when it comes to outnumbered pvp or evading gankers etc and as a solo player there isn't much guidance. There is no story or basic quests like in other MMORPGs, its an open world sandbox game, and the PVE is meant to be there as a way to progress your destiny board and get silver, the real fun is in the PVP. If you are wanting to exclusively play a PVE MMORPG this game probably isn't for you, that being said I know plenty of people that just do PVE so no harm in giving it a try. Currently they are adding a new EU server so for a new player its a great time to start.

it's a great game however it can be tedious at times but if u just wanna chill and play a game that has a lot of content with the addition of mods its good. my only complaint would be technology wait times but as u progress it gets shorter and shorter.
