DEAD GAME.

Do not buy. Half baked game where the devs threw themselves in every directions instead of working in blocks or a step by step way.

Unoptimized and overly graphical. Sure, it looks nice, but too much of the budget went into graphics and not enough into the game itself.

U.I. is horrible. You can get over 16 popups in one turn... I had like 21 one time. Sometimes the scrolling with the mousewheel works, sometimes it does not. It depends on where you are pointing which should not matter if you are in a scrollable area like zooming or scroll up and down a list.

So many bad things about this game, many are small but the accumulation makes it terrible.

THe strategic aspect of the game is dumb. They should have stayed in Europe and the Mediteranean. Going for a world map, that does not scroll left or right at the end, you need to scroll all the way to the other end of the map to check ou the other side.

Amateurish design made by a dying company who prefers making cheap, shallow and soulless phone games.

No replayalbility.

Nothing new in the game if you have played other school management games.

Lack of creativity and innovation.

Very easy, no real challenge unless you shoot yourself in the foot intentionaly.

Shallow. Little psychology involved in the characters.

Somewhat fun, more if you have never played school management games.

Graphics are dated. Music and sounds are reasonable.

I would only recommand this if you have never played this kind of game especially on any sale. But if you are like me and have played many, stay away, not worth it unless you see it at 2$ or something like that. Still worth checking if you have never played this kind of game as I said so this is why I give it a thumbs up, not because it is great of innovative or anyhting like that.

Decent game. Pity it is no longer free. Unless they upgrade their U.I. it remains a nightmare of menues inside menues and tons of popups.

Gameplay is fun if it was still free. But if they want us to pay, they better improve their game and not let it rot.

Mechanics are simple.

Zero Replayability. Game is too shallow to have any form of replayability. It will always be the same. If it was stil la free game, that would not be as important. But if you pay for a game, it better be replayable.

Snowball effect. Nothing brings you down, not even competition as they are absent in the game. The only thing they do is buy commodities before you get there and control the community's commerce. Aside from that, nothing. You can always take over the community's commerce later as the A.I. does not fight back.

Annoying grinding. Since there is little to do in the game, they have decided to add grinding. You grind for your house. Your grind for your caravan. And so on. But it is not as bad as bigger games that really have nothing in them to do like Space Engineers, Stationeers, etc.

On a more superficial note, the game has cute music and graphics. No annoying asian U.I. sounds. So no upgrade needed that department.

Needs some serious work to be worth any money on Steam. But I give it a thumbs up since it is playable and somewhat fun. Just needs more love.

The game has a several flaws.

- Snowball effect. There is no challenge to the game. There are no downs, only ups.

- Absent economy. There is no economic model in the game. You just sell stuff to get money, the price never goes down or up. No events that changes anything. Nothing.

- People in the game are nothing. They have no needs, desires, dreams or goals. You could have made them dots that moves around and the game would have been the same.

- Zero replayability. Like most town builders, once you have gone through it, there is no reason to play it once again... especially a 2D game like this one. A big zero in replayability.

- Zero creativity. The game has already been done a thousand times already. The first one was A-Train. You just simplified the game so much that there is barely anything to do. The game is empty.

Copying games without bringing anything new to the genre is bad. Your game has nothing new.... in fact, it does the opposite of bringing something new, it removes stuff from such games and oversimplifies it to the point of being repetitive and boring.

This should be a free game right now. I do not recommand anyone buying this unless Lunar CG comes up with a better game concept.

Well, if the controls were better, I would recommand it. Play AC 2 instead, it is a much better game control-wise albeit missing the sector map which is actually a plus as it removes unnecessary transitions between screens. Also, satelite maps were not present in the 1940s so just seeing what your tank crew sees is really immersive. So buy AC 2 instead, it is a much better game.

- Innovative
- Inspired from Patton's Best board game
- Potential to have alot of campaigns & vehicles (which are present in AC 2)
- Addictive
- Challenging
- Make your own challenge by choosing the vehicle you will use (and in AC 2 choose the difficulty of the operation too)
- Poor controls
- Low quality of life
- Excellent for a free game and to show what the designer of the game can do
- Good representation of how dangerous the life of a tank crew can be.

If you want to know what AC 2 might be like before buying, try AC 1. it is a simplified yet clumsy version of AC 2 but gives you a good idea of what the dev team wants to do with their game and what to expect in AC 2.

Solid little game early in development. If you like a bit a realism and a challenge in a game, then you might want to buy this one. Sure, it is still young and needs more work, but the essentials are there to give you an idea of what is to come.

It is highly affordable and every penny encourages the dev to push forward.

The game might be raw now, but wait for a year and you will have solid good game.

Go check it out!

Sad part is that Space Engineers is not a game. It is more like a platform than anything else.

- Sure there are scenarios, but aside from the tutorial ones which are helpful at least, they are all linear and combat oriented. Far from engineering anything. So no point replaying any of them. You will probably get bored half way anyways as there is nothing to do in them nor anyone to talk to.

- The sandbox is empty. Minecraft v0.62 (the one I started playing with) had more stuff in it than the current version of Space Engineers. There is nothing to explore, nothing to find nothing to do. You have mods in the workshop that are more interesting than anything Keen came up with. Like Splitsie's Scrapyard... give it a few endings and it is a hundred times better than any of the scenarios or the sandbox of the vanilla game. No fauna, no flora, no alien lifeforms whatsoever.

- One of the worse parts... 100 ms in space! That is like moving at 1 km per week on Earth. I have no idea what Keen is doing but there should be no speed limit in space. Duh! Also, why is my engine humming loudly when it is turned off while I am at 100 ms? I cannot even say it is a bad game as there is no game in it.

- The DLCs are just reskinned things from the base games. Contact pack just adds more damage and such to the reskinned objects. Very lame dlcs that should just be patches instead. Very bad empty dlcs.

-Keen SH is also very uncreative. They cannot even come up with planets of their own. They need to take real world stellar bodies, vulgarize them, and put them into their game. Speaking of planets and moons, none of them in the game are plausible. They are all the size of asteroids. It is about 130 km from north to south (or vice vesa) on one planet. Moons are probably even smaller.

- The local star orbits the planets. Just to tell you how much Keen cuts corners. Which makes Space Engineer world feel silly.

- Building anything is a waste of time as you have no use for them. You can build a massive spaceship, but with the same blocks over and over again. So no worth your time. Also, once you have it, there is nothing to do with it. You cannot trade as there are no towns, spaceports, or even people to trade with. There is no economy whatsoever. You can build a starbase, but since there is no economy, it is useless. Same for bases. No point building anything in this game. Better play an old version of Minecraft than this empty shell. You will have more stuff to play with and you have endings while being a sandbox unlike this game which has none (on top of being empty as I have said).

As an example, I gave this platform a serious chance twice. Each time I have tried it, after I have built my third or fourth refinery (which should be called foundries as they smelt ores, poor english there on their part), I stop playing. I do not see the point. There is nothing else to do once you have begun smelting ore easily.

- Grinding. Since there is nothing to do in this game, it is full of grinding. You want a Smelter (not the basic one), you need 1200 of this, 200 of that (or whatever), and so on. Building a large grid vehicle, even a small one will take you forever to do because of the boring grind, even if you have several smelters and assemblers working. If at least there was something to do in the platform, you could say that it is just some kind of barrier, once I am done with this grind I can really start playing the game. But no. Empty. Void. Nothing to do with everything you build.

Keen cuts corners everywhere they can and proclaim they release something new with the cheap dlcs that should be content patches. But there is very little new in any of those dlcs and people are so gullible that they buy them, encouraging Keen to release crappy dlcs again and again.

What is worse, they are apparently working on Space Engineers 2, which is hilarious since the first is an empty shell with nothing in it. Man, finish your first game before you work on a sequel.

Do not buy at all. Not worth anyone's time until they make it at least as interesting as Minecraft... because frankly, it is a copy of Minecraft but with spaceship minus all the stuff that makes Minecraft fun and interesting... as well a the endings you have in that game. So not even on a bundle sale with all dlcs at 20 USD it is not worth it. Buy Minecraft or if you like building vehicles, From The Depths is far superior in every way when it comes to vehicle building. And if you are more an arcade game person, try Terratech. It is funny, exciting and pack with action.

A great sub game that includes many features from UZO to torpedo adjustments and targeting systems, from crew to officer and so on. Silent Hunter 3 - GWX has a competition finaly. Too many bad sub games out there.

One big downsides (major for me) :
- Micromanagement hell. Sure you can automatate but the game does not feel like you are the captain but more like a micromanagement freak. I wish that when I rig for silent running, my crew would turn off this and that, and when I secure from it they would turn things back on. When I am in a combat situation and the alarm has rang, the sailors and officers should be at their battle stations which includes taking care of the torpedoes. I find it stupid that the player who is supposed to be the captain, is micromanaging torpedoes all the time because his sailors and petty officiers are too stupid to do it on their own and I need to waste the time of one of my officers to do that. Sure you can automate certain things, but you should not micromanage anything at all since you are supposed to be playing the captain your officers know what to do when you give an order (like crash dive, silent run, attack run, etc).

- No first or second officers (2nd and 3rd in command). There are no ranks in the game as your character is no more the captain than the other guys on board. Plus there are no permanent posts for my officers. Like there are no engineers, mechanics, navigator, etc. And like I have mentioned above, this leads to a micromanagement hell. Zero chain of command.

- No work shifts. In the navy, people works in shifts : Active, passive and rest. There is nothing like this in the game which also contributes to the micromanagement hell. Officers should have a job in the sub (engineer, mechanic, navigator, etc) and they should all have their teams under them composed of petty officers and sailors. These teams should be allocated to shifts by the captain and can be also modified by him if he feels like it but that might hurt the morale or the relationship of that sailor, petty officer or officer with the captain. Anyways, once the workshifts are created, this tells the player who works or rest when. You could also give your 2nd and 3rd in command rules for disturbing the captain while he rests (like ennemy warships spotted, convoy spotted, important message or urgent one, etc.

Probably one of the best story-rich turn-based hack'n'slash I have ever seen.

It has a branching story with many endings. Especially with the expansions. Hopefully, we will see more story branches in future expansions.

Wide array of weapons, armour, trinkets and so on. After playing a few times, you can begin trying "builds" for a character. Poison, bleed, armour smashing, dodging, etc. About that last one, I actually finished the game without taking damage after playing a agility-based character. I was convinced that I at least got hit once or twice, but apparently not.

It is not a big game for the player. You can easily get to one ending in an evening or a bit more depending on how much time you spend reading. Finishing the entire game with all endings, that is another thing.

The writing for the character Dupont and that other guy on the mercenary path is weak if not very bad. The person who wrote feels like if it was not the same as the rest of the game. The author "tells" instead of showing. He always says "he says", "He tells you" and so on. Why do you write that? Make him talk instead, it is so much more immersive than telling he says something to my character. Please remedy to that.

Armour is good except for scale mail which was, in real life, almost never used in combat in medieval time as it was a flawed armour and very bad too. Even the Romans were using breastplates instead. Scale mail, ring mail, splint mail and banded mail were the worse of all armours. The game does not make scale mail bad, in fact, it makes it better than chain mail which is wrong.

No protect vs damage type for armour. That is a downside as chainmail and hauberks are completly useless against piercing attacks but are pratically invulnerable to slashing, especially if you have a gambeson on top. Also decent against bludgeoning with gambeson. Plate armour makes swords useless, they just bounce off plate and is the best armour against bludgeoning weapons and piercing ones. But in this game, you do not have such detailed armour, but you should since the weapons are splitted into four categories, so armour should have their own different protection in percentile against each weapon (percentile is the amount of the armour points the armour gives of its default armount against a type of weapon). I am sure it can be done.

Anyways. Good game. Not too expensive. Worth buying if you like tough little games that have alot of replayability and in general good writing.

Good game with multiple endings and a Fallout-like epilogue. Well made. Do not be fooled by the graphics, it is the game's style. It works well with the game as a whole.

Awesome thematic game. You learn alot about the slavic myths and legends.

Good but limited deck builder.

One or two areas where you control the Vasilia but there is no point controling her since there is only one option. I suggest removing those and put a cutscene instead... including the ending where you walk towards a tree. Very pointless.

Aside from that, I have nothing negative to say about this game. :)

Buy it if you like thematic games.
