The only reason why I have so few hours in this game is that I already had 270 hours in the original Dark Souls 2. If you're at all interested in souls like games (immersive role playing games that are more challenging and have a somewhat philosophical story) I really recommend you give this a try.
I know there are many who call Dark Souls 2 the worst Souls game, but I think that it disappointed many people with the level design (best example is when you go into an elevator in a mill and end up in the middle of a lava pit although there wasn't even a tower or anything on top of the mill where the elevator could go and there was an open sky) and in my opinion Dark Souls 2 really made a lot of quality of life changes in comparison to Dark Souls 1 and is just a slightly more modern version of an already great game!

This has been a great game for years and it just keeps getting better. It also has a large and friendly community.
Therese enough content to keep you busy for hundreds of hours, but it's also worth it to just play through the story

Great game. But wait for a sale, the remaster didn't change much...

Early Access Review
First I think it is a disgrace, that the game is not adequately developed anymore. I think it is an absolute impudence to release an unfinished game in early access, earn a lot of money with it and then just disappear and not continue development...
I might even let that one slide, because the game is lots of fun, especially with the content the community added to the game. But what I don't understand, is why I am forced to be online in order to play a single player game. Therefore I will give Scrap Mechanic a negative review here.

But if you're not concerned with the two points mentioned above, you will probably have a great time.

If you want to build cool machines that then don't work due to weird mechanics and then want to spend hours to fix them this game is for you.

It is a great controller. I like the touchpad, the feel of most of the buttons and the customizability (if that word exists xD)
BUT I have 3 things that really limit the fun:
1. It is not supported by the vast majority of games available on steam. At least not in the way a XBox360-controller would be supported.

2. I can only really use it in big picture mode even if I dont want to use it for "couch gaming" but for normal gameplay on my PC. Customisation is unavailable. Maybe there is some way to customize the controller anyway but I do not want to spend a lot of time getting my controller to work. In 2017 a controller should be "plug and play" like my Xbox360-controller 8 ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ YEARS AGO

3. The rumble function is rather annoying. I can turn it off/modify it in big picture mode BUT NOT WHEN PLAYING FROM THE DESKTOP APPLICATION

You only need two buttons to play this game but still I failed at the lowest difficulty which is already called "hard".
If you are looking for a truly challenging game which good gameplay and a nice soundtrack then Super Hexagon is for you!

Since recently, Rockstar requires you to install a seperate launcher with the game. This is unnecessary and at least for me increased loading times to upwards of 5 minutes, which is completely unacceptable!

Dark Souls 1 isn't perfect by any means in terms of optimization.
But besides that I can 100% recommend this game. It is brutal but so goooooooooooooood.
