The only good civ is a V civ.

A WONDERFUL game. It gives me a similar vibe to Alpha Centauri. The races are fun and varied, the gameplay is a mix of civ with a little XCOM. I love it a lot. If Age of Wonders ended here I would be satisfied.

It's free and I can finally live out my combine dystopian dreams in a game that is not Garry's Mod.

Roguelike with cards, cool monsters, cold trainer, nice music, give me back my kids.

A fun, if a bit repetiative near the end, ride. This game is essentially a roller coaster with a godtier soundtrack. A definite buy for a person into FPS or if you crack open a monster while complaining about the lack of soul in modern shooters.

Turn your Greenskin campaign into Mad Max, turn your High Elves campaign into The Dark Knight.

I cannot imagine this game without Behemoths or space samurai chickens. The Hissho were one of my favorite factions in ES1. Definitely pick this up.

The Umbral Choir is a great faction and hacking can be interesting/useful once you get the hang of it.

The faction is cool but the academy actively breaks the game.

Update: there has been some misinformation on "free to play" races being weaker than "paid" ones. All races in the game are from previous paid for installments of spellforce 3. No race is stronger than another in a rock paper scissors kinda way, it is asyemtrical balance. If you're having a bad time with a certain race, you're just bad with it, sorry.
A free skirmish only version of spellforce 3 with all factions, I'M COOMING! Yes the race randomization is irritating but you can solve that with a small(compared to the full game's price) "entrance fee" if you will. If you already own the previous spellforce 3 games, this fee is bypassed. Give it a try, this is honestly a wonderful surprise.
